Re: Rumor Of Boko Haram Plan To Bomb Lagos – How True? by jahrule: 3:40pm On Aug 26, 2011 |
this will make it turns into something the country will find hard to control as yoruba will likely see it as attack on yoruba land rather than normal nigeria problem and counter attack may be on hausas leaving un lagos. these stupid people should just not think of lagos cause it going to lead to something that will get out of hand. |

Afam, . . , .don't try to be too sure that an attack on Lagos will not have dire consequences. It can only lead to a chain of event which nobody wil be able to determine the outcome with certainty. |

@Illugun I'm not sure oo. I'm just speaking based on history. Some years back MEND boys bombed atlas cove and nada happened. Why do u think it will be different this time. |

It will be different because of the religious undertone! |

afam4eva: Well, no one can predict these things accurately but the more bombings seen outside the North the greater the chances of reprisal attacks which may precipitate the North v South chaos I am sure the sponsors of Boko Haram will relish. I laughed when our clueless Defence Minister (a perennial and classic AGIP) announced that "Boko Haram will soon die down" . I really don't know how people like him can pretend not to know what the current agenda of Boko Haram is. |

Gbawe - nice post. The minister is clueless because he has no intelligence. If there is intelligence that BH will attack lagos then it can be prevented. |

Another inciting posting aiming to raise sentiments and anger and lose sense of reasoning. There must be somebody somewhere who wants to reduce nigeria to be worse thanbsomalia and he has naive supporters on NL. We must insist that government find the root & sponsors of these atrocities before we are all consumed. I am beginning to believe that the government is hiding something. They can't be that daft. Mike l's father was found in one week- intelligently with no bloodshed. Why is it that in 4 years no bomber was arrested and full details given to the Nigerian public. I don't want to see the next generation of Nigerians become refugees. Please ague intelligently and constructively. Someone is taking us for a ride. |
Re: Rumor Of Boko Haram Plan To Bomb Lagos – How True? by alexis(m): 8:10pm On Aug 26, 2011 |
You need to research the group behind the attacks - BH wants to establish an Islamic State in Northern Nigeria, they want to get rid of Western ideals and life-style. Does this sound familiar to any other group? YES - Al-Qaeda! It smells of terrorism and radicalization. The only sad thing is that it's been brought to Nigeria door-steps and sadly by Nigerians. If Nigeria aint strong enough to deal with it - you will live in fear and may crumble under it. |

afam4eva: If they try nada will happen. Nigerians are known for chest beating. What happened when Atlas cove was bombed. If they ever try it, the situation will change totally. In fact it would be almost be seen as a declaration of war. Its had to imagine the consequences of any such folly, blood will flow like water. |

guys am not trying to be a conspiracy theorist but lets analyse this: I was just watching france24 and I heard the french and italians hav already started grabing d lucrative oil deals even b4 d war is over, 1 since d wests misguided foray into playing globalpolice and war on teror, it has had serious runns on their economy and r at the risk of soverign bankrupcy 2 all this while china and to some lesser degree other BRIC nations hav been making inroads into africa at the expense of the west. 3 now d west cant compete on on level playing grounds with d new boys on d block, conflicts start eruptin in energy rich and strategic nations in ME & A. this nations incedentally hapen to hav huge chinese investments(sudan, lybia, nigeria etc). with conflicts come new opportunities; nato bombs (Military contracts) humanitarian crisis(did u know there r now patents on relief foods! d economics of that I leave 4 u tofind out) and lastly spliting a country or upsetting its existin govt(western corporations can now come in and sign new contracts, while d chinese and russians r sideliened) 4 I laughed wen I heard on france 24 d rebels warning d chinese dat they cant guarantee their investment, while france were guaranteed as early as april of 35% of oil contracts as early as april this yr. now we can seat back and watch this drama unfolled while africa is re colonized and we woble in our silly north/south muslim/xtian arguments, or do somethin b4 its 2 late. but as I said it might just be my thoughts but; "drill deep to any recent conflict and u will find oil at the centre.of it" |

nagoma: Well said Nagoma. I too believe someone is taking us for a ride and many Nigerians are rushing to buy tickets. Something about this Boko haram thing and the bombings just doesn't add up. For a so called terrorist organization, this BH seems inconsistent in their attacks and agenda. Very all over the place if you ask me. The way they take credit fir these attacks is very questionable as well. Something just doesn't add up. For those of you advocating for a split of Nigeria, history has obviously taught you nothing. |

Pls oo. Let them bomb and kill innocent people in Abuja and other parts of the north but they should not bring it to lagos. Wtf, like people in Abuja are not human beings. What difference will it make if they bring their madness to lagos. They bombed the police headquarters in the nations capital, Abuja, that's supposed to be the most security conscious city. So, doing the same in lagos is just going to be a walk-over. Not that I'm praying that it should. I hope that they'll stop the bombing in Borno, Abuja and other parts of the country. For those of you shouting " They had better not brought it to lagos or else we'll cut aboki's throat" will be the first to run to cotonou should they carry out their threat. Let's just pray and hope that the madness does not get to lagos and quit boasting. |
