GARLANDS AS NWANGELE TRADITIONAL RULERS CONFER CHIEFTAINCY TITLE ON IMO DEPUTY SPEAKER, IWUANYANWU, AS HE KICKS -OFF CAMPAIGN AHEAD OF 2023 ELECTIONS

It was all pomp and pageantry last weekend; Friday, November 25, 2022, as Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly and member representing Nwangele Constituency, Rt. Hon. Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Ksc, Msc, was conferred with a 'high chieftaincy title' of ' Amarachukwu Nwangele ' by the creme da la creme of Nwangele traditional leadership under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness, Eze (Hon.) Uzomah Onunenyi (Ekiti ll of Ekitiafor Abba) , in recognition of his immeasurable contributions towards community development, stellar performance as a state legislator and strategic role in the promotion of traditional institution in Nwangele LGA and Imo State. His amiable wife, Lady Shirley Iwuanyanwu, was also honoured with the title of ' Lolo Opuruiche ' by the Ugoezes of Nwangele traditional rulers in order to complement her husband's efforts both in political leadership and selfless community development service.

The historic and epoch -making event which was attended by the Imo State Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, but ably represented by the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Prof. Placid Njoku, alongside members of his colorful and mesmerized entourage: Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government House , Chief Cosmos Iwu, Secretary to the Imo State Government, Rt. Hon. Emeka Nduka, Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Nze Chinasa Nwaneri, SA Special Duties to the governor, Imo Commissioner for Agriculture, High Chief Cosmos Maduba (Odoebube Isu).

Presenting his son and subject, Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu, to ndi Eze Nwangele for the chieftaincy title conferment; traditional ruler of Dim na Nume Autonomous Community, HRH Eze (Sir.) Dr. Nelson Uzomah Obasi (CP, Rtd) (Dim ll of Dim na Nume), eulogized the sterling performance, leadership dexterity and political sagacity of the Imo State Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu, while maintaining that he is an illustrious son of Nwangele in whom all are well pleased; assuring him of the avowed support , dedicated prayers and best wishes of the good people of Nwangele and the leadership having given a highly impressive account of his stewardship in the last three to four years in office.


From Eze Dr. Nelson Uzomah Obasi to HRM, Eze (Dr.) E. F. N. I . Akano, OFR, KSJI (Eze Isu, Durukparakatam), the royal fathers took turns to commend the superlative legislative performance of Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu in the areas of infrastructural development; strategic role in the political appointments of Nwangele sons into the Shared Prosperity Administration, capacity building, spread of constituency projects across the 11 wards in Nwangele LGA, donation of transformers to communities, respect and promotion of Nwangele traditional institution since his inception of office in 2019. The traditional rulers, who didn't mince words, affirmed that Amarachukwu Nwangele has made all proud as his presence and contributions are strongly felt in Imo State as he is described as '' a chip off the old block. "


However, the chieftaincy title conferment on the Imo Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu, by Nwangele Council of Ndi Eze at the Umualom Oteke - Ekitiafor Abba palace of His Royal Highness, Eze (Hon.) Uzomah Onunenyi (Ekiti ll of Ekitiafor Abba) was part of his consultations with the royal fathers as the state legislator officially flagged -off his political campaign for a re -election bid.

By dint of hard work, dedication, uncompromised loyalty and unflinching support to the Shared Prosperity Administration under Governor Hope Uzodimma, Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu has succeeded in making Nwangele LGA the political headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the NINN Federal Constituency with his stellar performance, robust representation, people -oriented projects and by consistently mobilizing the grassroots for the All Progressives Congress (APC) while galvanizing supports of critical stakeholders and leaders across party lines.


In a rather electrifying speech, the newly crowned Lord Mayor of Nwangele and undisputable Apex leader of the LGA, High Chief Johnbosco Chukwuma Ozigbu (Ogwuaga of Ogwuaga) (M.SC,MBA, PH.D, PGD, Oxford University, United Kingdom), commended the Imo State governor , Sen. Hope Uzodimma, for his ongoing infrastructural revolution while urging him to sustain the trajectory since that is the only campaign tool with which his re -election bid is guaranteed.

The road construction giant, philanthropist and boardroom political strategist, Ozigbu, however, expressed satisfaction with the remarkable and stellar performance of the Imo Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu; stating categorically with emphasis that his re-election bid is sealed, signed and delivered since: `` the reward for good work is more work. ``


The representative of the Imo State governor, His Excellency Prof. Placid Njoku, while officially flagging off the re -election campaign of Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, commended the good people of Nwangele LGA for their love and support to Governor Hope Uzodimma and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He also solicited for renewed support for the re-election bid of their son, Amara Iwuanyanwu, whose stewardship as a state legislator in the last three years has remained highly impressive with verifiable projects in his constituency.



In lieu of the above, all the political wards, different support groups, non -indigenes community and disgruntled members of the opposition People's Democratic Party in Nwangele LGA; who had untill recently parted ways with their party in the LGA to join the winning camp, sang new songs of victory as they declared their total support for the re -election bid of Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu, given his robust representation, youth empowerment programs and inclusive leadership, as they have decided not to gamble with the exalted position of the Deputy Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu, over political neophytes and those who are merely coming out to try their luck and create awareness.

The high point of the event was the strong statement of affirmation as the Imo State government with its alluring paraphernalia; Governor Hope Uzodimma represented by his Deputy, Prof. Placid Njoku, Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government House, Rt. Hon. Emeka Nduka, Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, High Chief Cosmos Maduka, Imo Commissioner for Agriculture, Nze Chinasa Nwaneri, SA Special Duties, Lord Mayor of Nwangele LGA, High Chief Johnbosco Ozigbu, Ph.D, among others, unanimously endorsed the Wizkid state legislator, Amara Iwuanyanwu, for a second term in office sealing their pronouncement in the name of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, while the mammoth crowd and support groups echoed a thunderous Amen!!!!!! in one voice.

The obviously elated Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu, who appeared a bit emotional during his brief remarks given the show of love and solidarity for his leadership against all odds, promised not to let the people down after his re -election as he has never let them down since inception of office. He however, urged those who are yet to be empowered to exercise some patience as he wouldn't forget in a hurry their Labour of love and support as the wind of empowerment and capacity building among Nwangele youths would blow heavily after his inauguration in 2023, by the grace of God!!
