Reality has set in, its now obvious that no top European club is willing to sign him

Yeah, once you pass 30, the big clubs begin to look at you one kind (that was partly why, in my opinion, Henry moved to Barca when he did...to win Champions league before he turned 30).

Ronaldo, by hard work, has played like someone ten years younger since he turned 30. Even then, age still catches up, no matter how hard working you may be.

Once great players start nearing retirement they move to either China or the Middle East undecided
Re: Cristiano Ronaldo 'Agrees To A £173 Million-Per-Year Contract With Al Nassr' by angelfallz(m): 1:24pm On Nov 30, 2022
No, he was rejected because of:
1. His age
2. Tactics have changed, elite football clubs favour the collective over the individual.

Ronaldo can never be said to be a bad influence, never!

A goat rejected by European clubs because of his bad influence and selfishness.

See the way he celebrated another player's goal, knowing fully well he didn't make contact with the ball.

The problem is Ronaldo. He might refuse to accept that his time at the top is over. Remember, he rejected the Saudi club in the summer, because he was waiting for a champions league club.
I hope his advisers counsel him properly and that he listens to them.

Football has never been an individual thing but people like Cr7 have over the years made seem like an individual affair due to his always trying to be the centre of attention.

Watching CR7 against Uruguay, he can't no longer dribble 1 player, he can't no longer sprint and pass like before, I felt a bit sad for him, though I love LEO10 more. But ... CR7 have really tried for football.

Team sports like football usually have a star player that the team is built around. And this has been the norm until recently.
Maradona is an example of that star player that team is built around.
Messi, in his later years at Barcelona is another example.

The difference now is that tactics does not allow for such any more.
Modern tactics demands that 11 players attack(including the goalkeeper) and 11 players defend(including the no. 9)

Ronaldo has spent so long in football because when he started we were still in the era of building your team around a star player, Ronaldinho is an example, CR7 himself durinh his final years at United the first time.
I don't know if you remember Rooney sacrificing himself. Benzema did the same thing.

So Ronaldo's career started when football was in a different era. So naturally he would find it difficult to adjust.
By right, since he is the star, the team should work for him and be built around him.
But:
1. Modern tactics does not allow that
2. He is no longer what he once was to justify altering tactics for him.

There is no Shame in accepting that you're no longer at the top. Age would catch up to everyone of us, even you.

He could easily resigned and be okay becoming an influencer or football coach, analyst or brand person, there are many spaces he could play well in the sports marker
