That's exactly his major problem...he prefers individual achievement over team achievement.
He should have come to terms that his time has passed and start playing deeper role in the team. That would have helped him play and retire in man u. And that would have made him a legend in the club. But instead his quest for personal glory made him lose all of that. And some people are still supporting him blindly.
