After purchasing the land and going to Lagos state for documentation and approval,the next thing is to start building.

After purchasing the land and be given the necessary documents such as survey plan, receipt, deed of agreement, allocation paper and if some other documents are available as well such as Omo oni ile receipt, C of O e.t.c.

There are 3 building agencies you need to visit when building houses in Lagos, such as;
1. Lagos state town planning.
2.Labsca.
3. Lagos state building testing materials.

PEGGING,FOUNDATION:

The initial starting stage of every house is called Foundation. Foundation has so many stages, the first stage is called pegging, you will need 2 by 2 wood, 3 inches nail, and a labour to dig the floor of where the foundation of the house will be erected.

After pegging,you lay a nylon on the floor since it is a water lodge area and we are not doing pilling which is underground pillar,cement the floor the get your level.

Then the iron bender and Carpenter comes in, you will be needing 3 types of iron which are 10mm for rings,12mm for mat and slab,and window and doors linted, then 16mm for pillars, raft Beem, decking Beem and roof Beem, binding wire is very compulsory for joining the irons.

The carpenter will need either plywood or 1 by 12 Sumi wood for Foundation and 3inches nail with binding wire.

Granite 3/4 down stones, sharp SAnd, and cement will be needed to cast the foundation.

Hello Everybody,After collecting approval from lagos state, and also paying for safety materials such as helmet,boot,jacket and banner to Lagos state safety agency. We decided to do a borehole and create a wooden store house.


In construction, Water is very vital,it will be better we do a borehole that will provide water for workers to mix cement and soak tiles,rather than buying.

And it will also serve as the general borehole for the house.

Good day everybody, there was this massive tree that was uprooted from the house, this tree has given us some delays. Today we purchased our pegging wood and nails.

Good day my people, We went ahead to do our pegging and digging of 400meter Or 16inches.

Since is just one storey building.
We will be using
IRON
16mm for Raft,column or pillars, decking or slab beem,fence pillars,and roof beem.

12mm- for slab, limited, Raft ,blinding base.

10mm- for all rings that joins all other irons.

1 by 12- for Raft,slab or decking, pillars

1 by 9- for limited

1by 6- for limited and German Flor

2 by 3- for Raft, roofing,decking or slab

2 by 4 - for roofing

After digging we put a tick black nylon and did a concrete mixing and four inches on it.

We bought a tank for reservation of water and your generator must be available till they finished the work for pumping the water.

Holes is needed to channel the water to the tank.

Compliment of the season from Panacea Concept.

After boarding the raft and putting the 3inches and 4inches plumbing pipes for conduit, we decided to cast the raft with this mixture:
Cement--¹/² bag
Sharp sand -3 or 4 buckets
Granite- 4 or 5 buckets
Water- 20 litres bucket.


The wood was removed the next day after casting the raft.

* 3inches pipe for kitchen and toilet waste water.

*4inches pipe for defecation.

* Vibrator was available to vibrate the raft during casting to make all concrete circulate and occupy all the space.

*We wanted robust broken blocks for filling,but we couldn't get it,we end up going for sharp sand for filling of the raft.

Happy new year. Welcome to 2023.

After filling all the Foundation boxes, We wet the Sand filling and decided to used a Machine Rammar to press it so it can key and prevent holes.

- We laid a tick Nylon on the filling after Ramarring pressing excluding secret beem and top of the raft beem.

-We put mesh wire on the German floor.
- We cast 6inches thickness as the German floor
- 9inches and 6 inches block was used for block setting.
- Sharp sand and Cement was mixed together to set the blocks.

-The plumbing pipes were lifted up above the window linted to avoid future breaking and chivel of the linted.

Good day My people.
After casting the all windows and doors linted and pillars, we decided to put 3 couch of blocks on the linted due to our pop that will be dropping.
Our mixture for linted and pillar was:
-8buckets of granite
-8 buckets of sharp sand.
- 1 bag of cement with water.

We used 1 by 9 and 1 by 6 wood for under the linted.

Our linted ring was 7inches by 7 inches for 9 inches block, 4 inches by 7 for 6 inches blocks, 7 by 7 for pillar ring , for pillars you divide a length of 16mm iron into 3 and add one to it to make it four.

After casting our Linted and Pillars/Column, we decided to add 3 couch of blocks on it to give us a high rise parlour.

-We bought Bamboo, 2 by 3 wood, 1 by 12 for slab and nails to do the decking.

- We bought 10mm for decking beem ring, 12mm for decking slab and 16mm for decking beem


-Decking Casting mixture was 5 buckets of granite,4 buckets of sharp sand and 1/2 bag of cement
-We bought electrical PVC pipes and coupler to run our conduit.

- We bought plumbing pipes and fittings to fix on the decking.

- Our slab was 6inches or 150 and our beem was 9inches since it was just a storey building.

Hello Everybody, is been a stressful day.

But after casting the decking slab,we decided to move on.

After some break to enable the slab dry , we commenced the setting of blocks.

-Linted and pillar- we used 7 by 7 inches for pillar ring and linted.
- We added to 2 coach of blocks to places that require roof beam and 3 coach of blocks to places that have no roof Beam

Since our desired roof is flat roof and will also be hidden on three sides,we decided to do a roof beam for tie beam and to put our five coach blocks on it

-We did coping for parapet.
Our coping thickness was 3 inches and 10 inches wide.

-We bought roofing wood such as:
2 by 2 for naughing
4 by 4 for tie beem
2 by 6 for wall plate and king post
2 by 3 for rafter
Facing board to cover the side of the exposing ceiling.

-We bought bamboo,binding wire and 5 inches Nail- for scaffolding to plaster outside.

ROOFING OF THE HOUSE
-We bought nail such as 3,4 and 5 inches for roofing.

- We applied wood preservative chemical on all the roofing wood to prevent future ant destroyer.

-We bought 0.55 grade of imported Aluminium to roof the house. The corrugation was normal at 0.900m.

FIXING OF ELECTRICAL PIPES,SOCKET AND SWITCH BOXES, DISTRIBUTION BOARD.

This was necessary before they could plaster the 🏠 house,to avoid double damages of the wall.

Hello Everybody.
After installing all the Electrical, Plumbing and AC pipes.

We decided to start plastering both inside and outside and we did the tailoring to beautify the front and the side.

Windows:

I ensure the Windows Aluminum man comes to the site to fix everything.

We used Aluminium casement windows with buglary and mosquito net which will be put installed at the end of the house to avoid net stain. We used Imported and Tower for the aluminium materials and our glass was 4mm and 5mm.

We bought all entrance doors because we want to start doing the pop and we want to prevent rain from entering since we have not done time because rain penetrate through the decking.

12mm iron was put inside the aluminium pipe for buglary proof.

Pop Ceiling

Pop Ceiling:
Materials needed for Pop ceiling are ; pop cement, ground nut oil, soap, fibre or fillers, tanodo hard nail, binding wire etc.

We were able to do alot of different designs.
