No, the issues that can arise from election has been divided into pre-election (only federal high court has jurisdiction) and post election matters (tribunal). Matters of certificate or qualification is pre-election according to new electoral act and only the aspirants have locus standi. Qualification issues are not part of grounds
of seeking redress in the tribunal according to 2022 electoral act.

It can also mean that those who have issues with his qualifications can do so via tribunal.

That is not true.section 29 only restricts qualification matters to aspirants in a primary.it never defined what pre election and post election matters are.there is no way candidates will be stopped from suing based on qualification

Before APC finish at the Supreme Court, election is gone. You know Akpanudoedehe is less likely to win.

I think the apex court will dispense all those matters before election

How possible.....

The Appeal Court will rule on that in January. The Supreme Court most likely days before the election. If they reschedule another Primary, someone will attack the case based on the 14 days issue, unless the Court upholds Udofia.

“Any aspirant who participated in the primaries of his political party who has reasonable grounds to believe that any information given by his political party’s candidate in the affidavit or any document submitted by that candidate in relation to his constitutional requirement to contest the election is false, may file a suit at the Federal High Court, against the candidate seeking a declaration that the information contained in the affidavit is false.” Section 31(5) of the 2022 electoral act

The appeal court in binani case ruled within a month.the appeal in this case can also rule this DEC or latest early Jan while apex rules earlyfeb.dont forget that they have two months deadline which means they can rule within a week

Appeal Court ruled in Binani's case in about 1 month 2 weeks.

Oct 14 - Nov 24.

I am aware he has appealed Enang's suit but I don't know of Dominic Utuk's. Appeal Court will have their first sitting on December 6.

What difference does this make though? Was there an election feaud? Is APC still disgruntled they lost the election? Or how does their candidature affects anything when there's a new government?

Bros make una try to dey read well. It was well stated in that article.

It was PDP that filed the suit.

Their claim was that the emergence of the est while governor, Oyetola as the party's candidate in that election was faulty, owing to the controversy as to the legality of the Buni led NEC at that material time.

Get the gist, they sought the court to give a nod to their prayers.
If this happens, and the court says yes, it will nullify the legality of Oyetola's candidacy.
Even though this will not have any direct effect on the current status, as of course Adeleke is the elected governor, but it will spell doom for all other APC candidates that emerged under the leadership of Buni led NEC.

They only want to use Oyetola's case as a precedence.

As simple as that.
