Àg,GW,Africa more often than not, has never been seen a threat in the world cup. Although, over the years, there has been few occasions where African teams defile the odds to go as far as the Quarter finals as seen in 94' 02' and 2010.

This handful of appearances still haven't pitched Africa as a serious contender for the title. Coming into Qatar, Morocco, was seen as one of Africa's biggest prospects going by the quality that the squad posseses.

However, being seeded in a very difficult group that had Belgium and Croatia, it still sounds unbelievable, how the Moroccans topped the group. Such a mystery, positions them as an underdog yet, one with unquestionable potentials of going as far as the finals.

With players who're technically gifted like Achraf Hakimi, Hakim Ziyech, Soufiayne Amrabat, Soufiayne Boufal and Yousouf El-Neysri, the North Africans might just give the world a run for their money.
correct ur post, NO African nation reached the last 8 in 1994, was in1990

I hate it when the media called the Morocco team Middle East country because they are winning, the case is different when they are not doing well. They will call them their normal name North Africa.

Do you mean Arab's glimmer of hope? Moroccans for the most part do NOT regard themselves as Africans, they see themselves first as Arabs. Even their fans at this world cup tournament said that their win is for the Arabs.

I'll take you up on this... can't be more than a goal margin... but can't say right now who'll win... will get back to you before match kick off !

Waiting for u then.....
Hope u see what Brazil is doing to Korea...... That's how it will be against Morocco.....

I came into this competition with high hopes for Africa's representatives but little did I know they were all bunch of agbado and cassava to be eaten by the even Europeans.....

So I long withdrew my support in full force after Senegal lost woefully against England

Nothing special about Spain... they can't overwhelm Morocco... only a goal will separate both teams... or will go to penalties !

BULLSHIIT.

Africa is competent in soccer.

It is the grossly unfair and skewed representation at the world cup that is a problem.

Europe with 44 countries has 14 teams in Qatar.

South America with 12 countries has 6 in Qatar.

Africa with 54 countries has 5 nations in Qatar.

So Europe can have teams like Italy, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Serbia, knocked out in the first round or not qualify at all (like Italy), but still pose a threat via Spain, England, Holland, Croatia, etc.

(I guess Germany, Belgium, etc also need to ''learn the basics of football'', no? Why not? They got knocked out in the first round just like Ghana and Cameroon, didn't they? Or does their skin colour exclude them in your colonised mind?)

Who is to say that if Africa had Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Mali, Egypt, and Algeria in Qatar, to make our representation 10 countries, that one of them would not reach semifinal or final?

SO YOU CANNOT CONDEMN AFRICA WITH SUCH GROSS UNDER-REPRESENTATION OF THE CONTINENT AT THE WORLD CUP.

What about Italian 90 Cameroon semi finalist, Ghana quatre finals, senegal quatre finals. Be proud of your colour, continent and your nativity. Do u know how much white people wish they can possess our kind of skin? Black colour, is the best in human race.

No Africa had ever entered semi finals
Cameroon almost did in 1990
Senegal entered quarter final in 2002
Ghana in 2010

No matter the outcome Morocco has given a good account of themselves... However anything is still possible... Like I said, Spain does not have the capacity to overwhelm Morocco... Nothing special about this Spanish team
