The Alumni members of 2022 National Open University graduands converged on December 4th 2022, at Mandi Place and Resturant, to celebrate their graduation within its Alumni Network.

The event which was hosted at Wuse 2 brought together 2022 NOUN Alumni, mainly from the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences, as well as stakeholders from the school in a convivial atmosphere and they met, gist, interact, discuss, learn, wine, and dine, as part of building collaboration, deepening relationship and supporting the Alumni network ecosystem.

Under the theme: "Life After School, How to Land Your Dream Job, Wihle Journey Together and Collaborating to Win".

The session offered the opportunity to learn how to navigate life immediately after school, with a line up of students across differrent departments.

The guest speaker was the Founder and Managing director of Fordax Training Academy.

Bob Ugee, the defunct course rep of Apex Tutorial Centre speaking about the occasion said; "We are excited about this maiden edition of the NOUN Alumni Dinner Ceremony especially as it coincides with the unveiling of our 1st Anniversary.

Over the years, while in school, we have been committed to building a network of student leaders through continuous group learning, process improvement, and self eduction.

"Today we are proud of our story, which is evident through our thriving network of Alumni and we will use this Dinner ceremony to celebrate ourselves"


Also speaking, the former Course Rep, Apex Tutorial Center, Comr Samuel Mgbede, said the Alumni Dinner featured a reunion of different students from different study centres, converging on this Dinnar Night.

The high point of the event featured an unveiling of "NOUN ALUMNI NETWORK(2022)", which ushered in year-long celebrations for 2023 and onwards.

According to Nana Ibrahim, a member of the organising committee "NOUN Alumni members are doing exceptionally well in different spaces including businesses, trading services, fashion, healthcare, among others"

"This program is an excellent opportunity of connecting with those who we only see their comments on the General NOUN Telegram Group but never had the real chance of meeting"

Also speaking on the event, Mr Idike Emmanuel, the newly appointed Chairman of the Association and a defunct memeber of the planning committee said,

"We will have more of interaction and networking to build robust community of Alumni that have shared valued, so that members can leverage on the strength of the community to access more resources and opportunities and spread network and bring more Alumni into the fold as we have over 200 Alumni members”.

There was also a special Table Talk moderation by Topsy. Senator David handle the master of ceremony. Joy Salami, Mary Otagor and Dorcas Dennis also handled different pivotal function

A breaking of the class-of-the-year cake was done by Nkechi Jessica and a shout out was given to everyone who helped and sponsored the prpgramme, including people like Sir Fred, Ms Abasifreke, Ruth Yakubu, Gifted Patience, Titi Jima.

Also at the ceremony was Mary Salifu, Happiness Udom, Goodnews, Onyinyechi, Shedrack, Mercy, Christiana Agbo, Angel Obi, Damilola, Deborah, Pauline, Ifeoma, Victoria, Gokwo, Ngozi and Ijeoma Fanta.
