We have a minister of Petroleum who is the most useless and clueless ever.. NNPC haven't remitted a dime to the Federation account for months going to years and yet it feels normal. Scarcity has persisted for months going to a year now and everyone is blaming everyone else and denying the obvious. I bought fuel @280 just yesterday in abuja and joined a very long queue spending over 2hrs to buy at 200

It is because of people like you that the govt do whatever they like and get away with it because they believe Nigerians are naive. The govt at no time sold NNPC. They just did a rebranding to fool ppl like U.
Here's a link of the govt debunking the sale claim

Now that they didn't fool you, what has your rant achieved?

Some of you don't know how to make points without insulting everyone - it makes one wonder the kind of parents that raised you!

Subsidy should be removed now. Or else we are postponing the evil days. Even one's best friend cant be trusted talk less of one yeye politician claiming to be righteous than others.

So many people just come online to type rubbish. Current pump price will be same under any government because price is determined by international market where we import refined products. Arguments should be directed to why our refineries don’t work instead of castigating any government. Refineries didn’t work under GEJ. We sell crude and import pms almost same price we sell the crude. Even after subsidy, current price of 170 per litre is not sustainable. So imagine what happens once subsidy is removed. Direct your grievances towards forcing government to build new refineries.

There is nothing to defy in the first place. The federal government is gradually increasing pump price and the best way to do it and not attract protest is to allow scarcity and thereby make the people to be willing to pay higher to acquire some fuel.

You are right, that is what they really want. The scarcity will end once the target price is attained.

I don't blame Buhari and this marketers, but NLC and the opposition parties. When PDP was in power, once fuel price goes up, NLC will mobilize Nigerians for protest that will force the PDP govt to reduce it. When goodluck Jonathan removed subsidy, APC and NLC successfully mobilize Nigerians to protest against it and it was reversed. But under Apc govt, NLC and PDP only bark on newspapers without actions. Now everybody is waiting for the fourth coming elections in February, forgetting that Buhari will handover in may. Re will going to suffer till that may? Especially this Xmas period?

The fault is neither that of the minister of petroleum nor the head of the NNPC. The buck stops at Buhari's door.

Kyari has already cries out that the fuel subsidy burden is too much and unsustainable. Common sense demands the price should rise. If the price of diesel and kerosene which aren't subsidized and the prices deregulated are sold at over N700/litre each, gives an indication of the cost of the subsidy. Let's even assume 40m per day petrol is consumes, that would be around N400/litre subsidy x 40m = 16bn daily. Multiply this by 365 and you get around 6trillion yearly, which is about 2% of GDP. The figures I quoted here are highly conser

Unless the price goes up, expect more irregular supplies. Buhari, a leftist populist has chosen to allow the subsidy remain, despite the damage it is causing the economy. 2023 is also an election year and any increase of the petrol price might be simply gifting the opposition candidates the presidency next year

Everyday, fuel price keep increasing and I'm wondering, where do we draw the line? If this continues, by next year December we may be buying petroleum at 700/litr. By that time, I really can't tell how much food will cost but salaries at all levels is not increasing to at least help the civil servants to cope with life. Truth be told, Nigeria government is a annoying

NNPC.. we have 1 billon liters to distribute... I wonder the kind of people that still support this government..how do they even sleep with their 2 eyes close pretending everything is normal

NNPC is a fluke,as they have nothing for Nigeria.
Their leaders see opportunity to exploit the Masses!
Despite all the Subsidiaries created in NNPC,they have failed woefully and are now carrying their bad luck to acquire shares in Dangote Refinery! What a shame!
Since October,no single Petrol in Ikorodu-Region is sold with recommended price,as major Oil dealers - Mobil,Total ,NNPC Outlets - open their doors but would not discharged fuel but at exorbitant prices of their own choices, even at night!
By leaving their doors open, the outlets just deceived the NNPC -Personnel that may come on a surprise visit.Corruption is killing this Country!
It's terrible that Nigerians all over the Country are suffering:
-No Light,
-No Job for the Youth
-No Fuel( at Christmas Period like this)
-No Roads ( imagine the ITOKIN-Agbowa-Road) in total despair, here thousands of People goes through hell every day,as we passed through this road that link people to Ijebu- Ode!
We are too wicked as a People, yet we danced around every Friday and Sunday -suffering and smiling!
Very Shameful!
