What Should We Do About Osama Bin Laden? by ALHAMBRA(m): 1:51pm On Aug 24, 2007
This is serious, indeed.

A few days ago, Osama bin Laden, the brain behind the 911 bombing in New York that put a huge dent in America's huge pride stated in no uncertain terms that he intended to release more devastation on six cities in America and in Europe.

We can pretend to act like, we are exempt, after all Europe and America are too far away from us, Africans. Okay, but this was the same person whose actions since 911 have brought pain and suffering (because of what happened afterwards) on thousands if not millions around the world. So like JF Hutton, when bin Laden speaks, we must listen.

The petrel question is what should we do, as Nigerians and Africans about it? Side with bin Laden as he wants us to or stay away from him, which matters little to him or join forces with the West to seek to annihilate him? King Solomon once said "if you want peace, prepare for war".Think seriously about it.

With kind regards,

Do yo expect the US to kill someone whose family is in a business partnership with the family of Bush?

Wake up, this is still morning.

Those dieing in their quest to find Bin Laden are dieing in vain as one of George Bush's first act after the bombing of Twin Towers was to move Osama's family to safety. However if you wish to sacrifice yourself as a pawn in the chess game its your call, then go join the US Army and help find Bin Laden.

But if you were hoping that finding Bin Laden will be part of Nigeria's foreign policy, I am sorry cos only a misguided Nigerian Government will do that.

@Mckren,

While it is good to know facts, it will also be good to understand how those facts can work together to create either a true picture or an illusion.

I am sure you will agree that it is not impossible that other members of Osama's family who are law-abiding could be lynched after 911. A responsible Govt will move to protect the innocent even when it doesn't seem popular. Ferrying those people to safety is a preventive move which I believe deserve some commendation and not condemnation.

Today, many hate Americans not because they have met any American personally, but because of the way they perceive America's President. If prejudice can go that far, surely anything could have happened to the Bin Ladin's who share the same blood with Osama after 911.

While I will not join the US Army just to find Osama, I will be ready to join the US Army or any Army for that matter to fight the ideology he so eloquently represents.

its simple, join the US army so you can have a chance to fight him and his minions in Iraq. If you want him dead then join those fighting to kill him, otherwise SHUT UP
Re: What Should We Do About Osama Bin Laden? by ALHAMBRA(m): 12:12pm On Aug 27, 2007
No, we cannot shut up while this man lurks in infernal places getting ready to unleash havoc on us. And talking about joining the army to fight him, that is an honourable statement but remember that driven words are more powerful than any weapon. Our words can drive our soldiers to fight for ever to achieve any objective. IN the WWII, Winston Churchill never fired a gun in anger, but his words kept the allied forces in top gear until victory was won.

The best weapon against terrorism is litracy,the more people are informed,the less they are likely to be manipulated,on both sides.America,aswell as the islamic masses are illinformed,that is why they fall prey to the games of monstrous illuminaties,just causing havocs to sell arms and change existing rules.
