People will always back stupidity with evidences. I worked for a company for 8 months, at just the second month of my resumption, I was handed the office's key. This happened because I was always the the first employee to get to work, I always get to work between 6.30 and 7.00pm, sometimes later, most of the time earlier.

This helped me in many ways. I gained respect of almost all my co-employees. It quickened my integration into the company's system as I would have enough time to study all the tools we were using in the company. The quickest employee to come after me alwaays come after like 1 hour I have arrived. I was loved by my boss, it got to a point when he would call me everyday around 6.30/7.00am asking if I was around, 90% of the time I will give him a yes answer.

Throughout my 8 months of working there, I only came late 3 times (coming after 8.00am resumption time), it rained two times and the other time was due to a traffic miscalculation from my end. Out of those 3 times, it was only once any employee has actually come before I arrive, meaning, it was just once any employee gets to office before me.

I was in no race with anyone but myself, I learnt so much from the company within a very short period courtesy of my coming to work early. When I felt it was time to move on, I did without looking back, though a few employees including my boss thought I betrayed the company, I felt sorry for that though.

I hate this thing en.. If I tell you its 8am, it must be 8am.. Two minutes passed, I am out of there.. Except you called to explain, why I should wait some minutes more..

When it is 10mins to the set time, they will start preparing to go.
