It's not.
Nigeria has entered a vicious cycle of debt.

Vicious circle of debt is called the debt trap.

When someone borrows money but has no means to pay it back (because of lifestyle or because of circumstances beyond his/her control), he/she has to borrow higher amount to pay the original debt. And then higher amount at higher rates to pay off 2nd loan and then even higher amount and interest rate then before and even higher and so on.

And, then it reaches a point from where you can not borrow any more and the. You will have no option but to declare bankruptcy- throw in the towel. It is the same with Ponzi scheme but instead of not being able to pay interest (in loans), not able to pay higher promised returns.

The world bank is complicitbin the nations economic woes.

Why lend to leaders who are irresponsible with money?

I am yet to see any African country that has developed economic all with world bank loans.
