I think it will be very foolish to dismiss Atiku Abubakar just like that. What if the election goes to run off and it's head to head between him and Asiwaju? Obi would have been out of the race, Igbo and South South will vote for Hausa as they have been doing since 1959, Atiku will easily win. My payer is that, the election should be decided at the first ballot, and if there will be a run off, it should be Asiwaju vs Obi, the match will be like Eyimba vs Realmadrid.

Anyone one underrating Atiku does that at his own peril. 2023 election won't be like the previous, it's an election with alot of contending issues. Zoning, religion, state of the economy and security. A run off is very possible. None of the contender to my mind will secure an outright win. There won't be a run off between candidates from the same region. There won't be a run off between Atiku and Kwankwaso neither will there be a run off between Tinubu and Obi. A run off between Atiku and Tinubu is an easy win for Atiku, though the sentiment of southern Presidency may favor him. But same faith is an issue in the North moreover the baggages of Tinubu and APC are too serious to ignore. A run off between Atiku and Obi is dicey. On the surface, it's a walkover but with the sentiment of southern Presidency, Obi's antecedent and current push for a paradigm shift and electoral reforms ObiDatti may well spring a surprise.
