Why sending money to build more courthouses when there are other things to develop ... Only Lagos state have 5 correctional facilities (Prisons) why some states have just 1 ... One of the means lagos state generates revenue is via judiciary (court) cause any lil issue that suppose to end in police station is straight to court cause of the bailing terms and conditions that will generate money to the state.

That leads to the high number of cases in lagos states cause the more cases the more money the judiciary makes for the state govt ..making lagos have the highest Inmates in Nigeria ..

The phase 1 building is such a faithful rendering of the old court building. Over thirty years ago, I moved my first motion there on my very first day of work as a new wig. Such an atmospheric court - nothing like it anywhere in this country. This is not surprisingly as it was the epicentre of justice for Nigeria and southern cameroons from way way back. Well done LASG - great design selection.

An edifice of historical significance was razed down by ignorant hoodlums from the East who knows nothing about keeping legacies and heritages intact.

Little wonder why their ancestral homes and elders are being treated with so much disrespect
