Use Your Birthday Celebration to Accept Atiku's Olive Branch - Southeast Group Tells Wike

As the Governor of River State, Barrister Nyesom Wike celebrates his 55th birthday anniversary, a leading support group for the realization of the Presidential aspiration of the former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has called on the governor who is the leader of the G-5 governors to accept the olive branch extended to him by the Presidential Candidate of the People's Democratic Party.

In a statement released to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday by the National Secretary of the Southeast Grassroots Network for Atiku, Mr. Innocent Edwin, the group urged Governor Wike to close ranks and work for the victory of Atiku in the interest of the party.

The group urged Wike to consider the hopelessness in the land as well as the opportunity created by the wide acceptance enjoyed by Atiku to mobilize supports for the party to win election next year.

For the fact that the Northeast and the Southeast geo-political zones are the only two regions that have not produced Presidents after Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa in the country has made the choice of Alhaji Atiku who hails from the Northeastern state of Adamawa more acceptable for justice to be served.

The group however assured the Presidential Candidate of the party not to worry about the southeast votes as the zone is a natural home for the PDP irrespective of what some governors and the Obidient Movements are doing to split the votes of the region.

The group called on the youths and the people of the zone not to waste their votes for another party or be involved in the promotion of the selfish interests of some leaders in the zone.

Wike has dished out so many blows if not for the resilience of Atiku Wike sole aim was to damage Atiku beyond recognition.

It is obvious that by God's grace the NE and SE are the only regions that has not produce the presidency and it will only be fair if either of the SE or NE gets a shot at the center of power.

For the sake of RESTRUCTURING and DEVOLUTION of POWER I stand with Atiku and for the sake of the ability to repurpose the entire nation I stand with PDP.

Wike knows what he is doing and may not stop until it is too late. One thing I keep thanking God for is the fact that Buhari never won Rivers State but remain the president for eight solid years.

If it is Atiku O'clock no Wike can stop it.

Jonathan is from South South, and the last PDP President. Has anyone wondered why Jonathan has not waded in and persuaded Wike and Atiku to reconcile?

This can never happen in APC. No matter their rivalry and bickering, they find a mediator to concile all sides, and they regroup.

It appears Jonathan himself is not pro- Atiku.

He will be disgraced and forgotten in Nigeria politics after 2023 elections party will be taken away from his loyalist in river state and nyezom wike will be completely useless politically
