Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government to allocate 300 billion rubles ($3.2 billion) in 2025 to build a high-speed railway from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Domestic designs, materials and equipment will be used for the project.

Over 20 countries, mostly in Asia and Europe, have high-speed rail networks. High speed trains are seen as a competitive alternative to flying as they can cruise up to 355 km/h or higher, including Al Boraq in Marocco, AVE S-103 in Spain, TGV in France, ICE3 in Germany as well as the Shanghai Maglev and CR400 in China.

Russia's project ensures the country's technological sovereignty and uniqueness, being on a par or exceeding existing foreign projects.

Russia's high-speed railway is expected to become operational in 2028. Trains will run every 10-15 minutes at speeds of up to 400 km per hour, reducing the travel time from the Russian capital to St. Petersburg to just 2 hours 15 minutes, half the time it takes today.

⚡Ukraine must start mobilizing women, says chief army adviser.

The Ukrainian army needs to change its approach to the recruitment process, start mobilizing women along with men, said Oksana Grigorieva, chief adviser to the Ukrainian army on gender issues, according to reports.

Grigorieva was referring to Israel, where women are recruited under the same conditions as men.

There are currently 65,000 women serving in Ukraine's armed forces, according to the government. The vast majority are volunteers, as there is no compulsory military service for women, although women with medical degrees are required to register with their local draft board.

"The cameraman was wounded in the leg, he was handed over to the medics. The correspondent was concussed," the LPR government said.

In recent days, Ukraine has intensified shelling in the area of Kremennaya. Thus, for the past two days, Ukrainian troops have regularly struck the city with artillery and drones.

On April 18, during the Russian military operation, the city came under the control of the LPR.

No.

It means one is cruel. In war, there's a rule of engagement.

Civilians are the last to be attacked

The Us left the soldiers fighting them to attack civilian population.

It's nothing but cowardice.

Just imagine Russia going to drop atomic bombs on Ukraine civilian cities just because of the terrorist attack carried out by Ukraine few weeks ago (Which Russia can justify since it was against civilian population).

It was war, full scale war. You fight war in way to either crush your enemies or force their surrender and that was what America did.

It's not like Japan wouldn't do the same if they had the capacity or the chance. Read up on the atrocities commited by the Japanese on enemy civilians during the WW2 and you would see who really is the cruel one. Except you deliberately want to turn a blind eye to this fact just to maintain your propaganda that "America is cruel".

Imagine you fighting a fellow man only for the man to go kill your children at home and burn down your house.

Jokes on me? grin quit playing

You acknowledging the fact the Ukraine provoked Russia and they're learning the hard way doesn't change the fact that as we speak, artillery shells are landing on Ukrainians head, not only that, missiles are doing their works and soon you'll hear it that Tu-22s are on their way to the Caspian sea to lunch their nightmare once again on your darling ukraiński army.

Anyways I'll only engage a fruitful discourse.

Na wa for you o. Even the Japanese knew they fvcked up by provoking a bigger enemy. They collected their wotowoto and moved on with their lives. They didn't make any issue out of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki tragedy
It's only one African man who was born several decades after the events who is taking up the job of the defender of the Japanese. Very funny. An African who loved Japan more than Japanese loved themselves. And it's not really because he cared for Japan like that o. It's just to "show" the world that "America is cruel"
