⚡Japan and the United States are planning to develop interceptors to shoot down hypersonic missiles by the 2030s under a contract signed by the two countries on Wednesday.

The plan, which will reportedly cost more than $3 billion, was first announced in August when the nations’ leaders met at a summit with South Korea in Camp David outside Washington.

“In recent years, around Japan, missile-related technologies such as hypersonic weapons have improved dramatically,” the defence ministry said in a statement about the agreement to jointly develop the so-called Glide Phase Interceptor (GPI).

“Strengthening interception capabilities against them is an urgent issue.”

The Japanese government has already included 75 billion yen ($480 million) in its 2024 budget for development of the interceptors.

Hypersonic missiles fly at more than five times the speed of sound and have irregular trajectories, making them difficult to intercept.

The 75 billion yen is part of a record defence budget of 7.95 trillion yen approved last year, as tensions rise with China and North Korea.

Western military and aerospace industries are not as independent as Russia.

Airbus airplanes are jointly manufactured by 4 countries (France, UK, Spain, US)

F-35's is jointly manufactured by nearly 15 NATO countries including the US.

PAC/Patriot AD is jointly produced by US, Japan and some NATO members.

And so many others.

Would you have agreed a road would have been constructed within a day and a bridge within 2 days before now?
Why not... I'm an engineer myself. The time taken to build a structure depends on so many things like the complexity of the design, equipment type and availability, the manpower involved, terrai, finance etc.

There is no city built between 6 months bro...if there is, we will surely know about it.

Russia built a new city with an airport, metro line, hospitals in the former Ukranian city of Mariupol in under 6 months.

As for the PM that was almost killed, someone in NATO initated it.

He's not as protected as Orban, hence the attempt on his life.

Yes...it is still under construction.

⚡Earlier today an 30,000 Gallon Oil Barge reportedly Broke Loose from a Towline and Slammed into the Pelican Island Causeway Bridge in Galveston, Texas.

Resulting in an Unused Railroad Bridge which runs alongside the Causeway to Partially Collapse as well as for a Small Oil Spill to occur within the Bay. The Causeway has been Closed to Vehicle Traffic until the Structural Integrity of the Bridge can be Checked.

Try to expand your horizons
They are what we called licences

Companies give indigenous companies (local) licences.
Companies to produce certain products

Also the f35 is not jointly manufactured by 15 countries
It was built by a USA defence company Lockheed Martin with bae also providing some other things.
F35 was funded by 5 countries with the USA incurring the highest cost
Funding and manufacturing are two different things.

Also the patriot air defence system is built by ab America companies Raytheon Lockheed Martin and Boeing
Japan defence company Mitsubishi builds Japan patriot defence system under licence from USA defence companies.

The Airbus issues is a merger of 4 companies from different countries to form a company
What the big deal about that?
They did that to try and change the dominance of Boeing in the civilian airliner industry.
No USA company is part of Airbus

Also which Russia ingenious airliner marker can be used to compare Airbus??

1. how do you define a city?

2. Are you talking about building an entire city from scratch?

3. Rebuilding already damaged ones?

Note: building few structures does not equate building an entire city.

It was from scratch.

Everything in Mariupol was leveled. There was nothing left standing.

It's why I said you haven't been following. We posted all this last year.
