When things don’t go your way, it’s easy to feel sad and down. To lift your spirits—and remind yourself that you’re worth being happy!—try some of these activities:

1. Call an old friend
Sometimes the best way to feel good is by talking to someone who knows and loves you, but you’ve lost touch with over the years. Calling up your childhood best friend may be just what you need to get out of this funk! Ask how they are doing, and listen carefully for any news about their kids or family members. If it’s been awhile since your last conversation, ask about how things were going when you were together last—especially if those days seem like a distant memory now that life has passed through so many phases since then (e.g., moving out of state). Asking questions like these can help revive memories that might have been too painful for either party at first glance; after all, we tend not remember things well if they hurt too much while happening! Plus we can always learn from mistakes made by others who share similar experiences with ourselves.

2. Have a massage or soak in a tub
Massage is a great way to relax and reduce stress. It also increases blood flow, which helps your muscles relax. A good massage therapist can help you with tension in all parts of your body and get rid of aches and pains.

Another relaxing activity is soaking in a tub or Jacuzzi tub filled with warm water that has Epsom salt added to it (about 1 cup per gallon). The heat from the water will help you feel refreshed while releasing toxins from your muscles after exercise or after working hard all day long at work!

3. Listen to some music
Listen to some music and listen deeply, especially if you’re struggling with depression or anxiety.

Listening to music can be a great way to relax and unwind. If you’re feeling stressed out, listening to music that makes you feel good will help take your mind off of the problems in your life.
