Open book exams are some of the hardest exams you can ever take because most of them require a lot of reasoning. You don't see the direct answers anywhere.

I used to have a lecturer who would mention that we would have an open book exam and we would start pleading with him.

I left university 17 years ago where I studied Electrical Engineering but even without any preparations, I can comfortably pass the exam.

Without mincing words, a primary six pupil can comfortably answer these questions, hélas even a final year student can fail same.

That's not a university standard questions anyways.

I know lecturers like this, they don't like anything stress at all. Most of such lecturers are usually professors or former Dean of faculty or former hod of the department. They can decide to give everyone an A in their course any nobody will question dem.

This lecturer just wanted to fullfil all righteousness by even if giving exams because him done already pass everybody

Final year suppose to dey write English?

The questions are just so simple. Number 3 and 5 are bonus questions that someone in ss1 or even jss3 can answer. The lecturer who set the questions deserves to be sacked.

Is it that the Lecturer is so clueless as to the kind of questions to set?l mean there are records of past questions papers to use as guide to know the kind of questions to set. Why did the Lecture not lean on them? I had even expected the institution to have a unit in each Department to vet the questions set for examination to ensure that they meet standard. Common is the Head of Department not looking at the questions set for examination purpose?( correct mid l am wrong).

90% of those university students will still fail the so-called cheap questions, don't doubt me .

Question number 5 must be a joke.
Apart from the fact that this question can be answered by a primary 5 student, the selection of one out of two options randomly means that there is a 50% chance of getting each sub-question right.

Another perspective; the people that passed difficult exam questions many years ago, are the ones looting Nigeria dry today.

I answered all of them within ten minutes not to talk of 3/5 for three hours.

But trust Nigerians na, we like hard things. Isn't it a thing of joy if as a lecturer everyone passes??

There's no need to cancel the results though.

Truth be told, the questions are embarrassingly cheap. A 3 unit course for that matter
