The Taraba State House of Assembly Speaker, Joseph Albasu Kunini, has resigned. He said he resigned on “personal grounds”. Normally, sitting begins by 10am but Wednesday’s session in which the former Speaker tendered his resignation, took place before the official plenary time. Deputy Speaker of the House, Hamman Adama Abdullahi, presided over the early morning plenary where he read Kunini’s resignation letter dated December 21.
