sunshineV: Check your calendar again beautiful, the 25th falls on a Sunday this year. The churches will be packed to overflowing capacities from Christmas Eve, and the roasted chicken and jollof rice will be getting prepared for feasts at the homes of those blessed to do so. |

sunshineV:It is all about the foundation of Nigeria. Most government policies are tailored to reflect the dominant religion ways of doing things. Why would they wait every year to declare 25th of December as holiday, knowing too well that the date doesn’t not change. This is not like Christians have to sight the moon before the exact date is known. Christmas on the 25th of December should be a national holiday, period. If it falls on a weekend like this year’s, then the next working days should naturally be a public holiday. Christians do not have to wait every year for it to be declared. The declaration style should be reserved for those who need to sight the moon for their own holidays. |

Not mentioned for 25 Dec and 1 Jan - must be national holidays whereas the newfangled dates of 27 Dec and 2 Jan are public holidays. These were not evident in the erstwhile fake announcement. |
