The Super Eagles midfielder went to express his gratitude for the assistance the President gave during the ordeal.

Super Eagles and Chelsea FC of England club star, John Mikel Obi has thanked President Goodluck Jonathan for his assistance during the ordeal that accompanied the kidnap of his father, Mr. Michael Obi, earlier this month.

Speaking to the President at State House, Mikel said his “entire family appreciate your help to us during this difficult time,” adding that his father was recovering from the mainly psychological and physical injuries he suffered.
