Heck!….Even the north will reject a Buhari!

People believe they can foist all manner of questionable characters on the rest of us because ‘one Nigeria’ (esp’ under the present unitary form of gov’t we operate) will spread the consequences of their mistake for all of us to bear, and they can use their control of the centre to mitigate said consequences on their immediate family, state, ethnicity and region!

They are not even accepting him right now. Why do you think his supporters are playing the ethnic card and bringing tribalism into this election? If he was as popular as they project him, then they won't even need the ethnic card.

Peter Obi would make a good regional Governor….one in the mould of Dr M I Okpara!

Every region has capable hands that can turn around the fortunes of their people! The problem is that Nigeria of today has been taken over by gangsters masquerading as politicians and ‘man of the people’! Nigeria is a Gangsters Paradise (apologies to Coolio)!

If we don’t accept Tinubu, who else would we have accepted?

Tinubu is the best Yoruba man currently to govern the SW region. First we need to have a clear blueprint and we need to ensure order and continuity in governance and Tinubu philosophy is deeply rooted in that.

We also need a figure that can bring the best team together and who can unite the Yorubas from all state to make them have sense of belonging.

Yes I will choose Tinubu. Let’s use Lagos as a case study for a company.

—He increased Lagos state internal revenue through digitization which imply that Tinubu can increase our company revenue by over 700% within 8 years.

—He turned things around by formulating a blueprint that transcends his administration and a clear path for successive administrators to follow. That will give our company the required stability to adapt to a working ideology.

—Tinubu assembled the best team of any governor in Nigeria since 1999 and they’ve excelled in different fora ever since they left power in 2007. With Tinubu, our company can be sure of assembling the right team that will catapult us to success.

—Tinubu is the state governor that brought investments running into billion $$ into Lagos. He facilitated the BRT, Eko Atlantic, and Lekki Free zone which houses the largest refinery in Africa and beyond. That is a cash cow for the future and it enable successive Lagos governors to generate taxes to run the economy. Having a bold man like that overseeing our company implies that we can expand our revenue base and secure big investment to sustain the growth of the company.

—Lastly, Tinubu is a leader who knows how to negotiate power and bring people together to achieve a common goal. For him to hold Lagos at bay judging from the fact that governors usually go against their benefactor especially for a rich state like Lagos when the governor have cash within his domain to fight against him. Having Jagaban in our company implies that he can connect people to different ideology and bond them together to achieve a common goal.

Now tell me why you think you will give your company to Peter Obi judging from his past history of governance.

OP the answer you seek is in the interviews of Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Olabode George. They have stated severally that Tinubu can never be the leader of the Yorubas

Hell NO!

The ilk of Tinubu will not even by allowed to contest for a LG Councillorship in a yoruba nation.

This is one of the myriad consequences of One (United) Nigeria to us, yorubas. The central govt. Propped up some nimcompoops to head our regions backing them off with the federal might and our commonwealth!

I reiterate, one Nigeria is the greatest stumbling block to yorubas' progress and development. We have been regressing ever since the 1st coup.

Note: yorubas don't need One Nigeria rather, it's One Nigeria that needs us.

It’s not only that they are dull, it’s also because Peter Obi don’t have any recognizable track record as governor.

Had it been that he wasn’t a former governor, they would have had much to hold on by believing his fantasies. But we’ve seen him govern Anambra and we do not have any transformative thing Peter Obi built in anambra aside the usual road, give laptop to students, and etc which is normal for all governors.

That’s why Sowore still get mouth small. He wasn’t a former elected politician so he can promise he will pay 500k minimum wages and people won’t know how to gauge him coz he does not have record to measure the truth against.

If all the people you mentioned are gathered in one single party, Jagaban will defeat them in another party.

In Yorubaland currently, there is hierarchy. Tinubu hierarchy is higher than any individual you mention in your post when you talk of network and reach among the Yoruba people.

As Yorubas, we either retire them ALL including Tinubu and bring forth young minds to govern us but if we are to be left with the old goons and the Yoruba electorate allowed to vote free and fair, Jagaban will defeat them all.

I beg to disagree. It is in very recent history that Osun voters, Tinubu's own relatives, rejected his nephew in what we can see as the first fairly computed election results in Nigeria since 1993.

The rejection of Tinubus's nephew, an incumbent governor, despite personal campaign appearances and fervent appeals by the former ex-governor of Lagos state and a verified Osun native to his people, must be seen as a direct sign of his insignificant value perception in the region.

There's no sugar-coating it. The only drive behind Tinubu's candidacy today is expected corruption and tribalism. Period!

I am speaking as a Yoruba based on the current political realities in the SW.

Go and ask Baba Obasanjo, he will acknowledge that Tinubu will defeat him in his polling unit in Ogun.

Baba Adebanjo never contested any election since 1999, even an ordinary me with full backing of some political heavyweight will defeat Him in an election.

Pa Bode George has since been relegated and the only thing he resort to now is throwing tantrums. Bode can’t even win his LG let alone Lagos.

Let me ask you, if we allow old goons to still participate in Yorubaland regional government and Tinubu is on the ballot with all the guys you mentioned, who do you think will win in a free and fair election?

There is nothing that link Tinubu that much to Osun state even on kinship ties. Aside the usual speculation that he’s from Osun, he never pull that sentiment in all his history in politics.

If you understand how Asiwaju took back all the states from PDP from a single Lagos, you will understand why he is not to be compared to any other person.

Oyetola lost election because Adeleke is a popular candidate coupled with the fact that Aregbesola worked against him and APC was factionalized.

Makinde won in Oyo state because Ajimobi fractured the party and fought with the Ibadan kingship. Was that because Of Tinubu too?

Tinubu cannot win all election in Yorubaland, he win some and lose some. But good thing about him is that his winnings far exceed his losses.

During the height of APC primaries, you can see how all Yoruba leaders stood with Jagaban and how Osinbajo was relegated behind the scene. That shows you who is more superior.

Mind you, as Vice President, if truly Osinbajo has the loyalty of Yoruba leaders, they will be factionalized and you will have some openly swearing allegiance to him. But that ain’t the case.
