They teach French, Spanish, German etc -all foreign languages- in our tert. institutions.

Pidgin has come to stay in naija and almost everybody "flows" in it, from top govt official's (remember OBJ's I DEY KAMPE?) to the 2yrs old kid in Warri.
In lagos, there are even radio stations (Wazobia 95.1 and Naija 102.7fm) that are predominantly pidgin based.

Is it not high time they taught pidgin English in our schools?

Pidgin is like the general language of naija.Yes, i think it will make sense if its included in every school's curriculum, even studied as a course, lol.

The fact that pidgin is generally spoken among nigerians is true, but it would not augur well if we start adopting pidgin as a lingua franca in our curriculum or teach pigdin as a subject! Or would it?
