Muslim star Mohamed Salah releases photos celebrating Christmas with his family.

Tis the season to be jolly, especially in the Salah household as Egyptian forward Mohamed releases the 2022 installment of his annual Christmas family photo.

The Liverpool ace who is a devout Muslim continues to celebrate Christmas which is a Christian holiday, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

In the picture shared on his social media pages with the caption #MerryChristmas, Salah can be seen sitting in front of the Christmas tree, posing with his wife and two daughters, all wearing matching pajama pants.

The 30-year-old displays courage and defiance by posting his annual Christmas family photo after the outrage and criticism that followed the 2021 version.

The Liverpool forward posted pictures of himself and his family dressed in matching festive-themed onesies, posing in front of a large Christmas tree on Christmas eve as is his tradition.

However, this seemingly innocent act appeared to anger Muslim fans who took to social media to express their discontent at the Egyptian's celebration of Christmas.

Salah has posted a family Christmas photo in each of the last three Christmas eve and has received backlash on each occasion which led many to believe he would not do so this year.

But it seems Salah has not allowed the words of his detractors stop him from publicly enjoying the festive season with his family.

While there was a lot of backlash on his celebration of Christmas, Mohamed Salah also had a number of supporters who leaped to his defence.

Some said that, for many people, Christmas was now a cultural holiday rather than a religious one.

They said people of various faiths wear Santa hats and watch Christmas-themed films during the festive period, which is perhaps Salah's reason for celebrating the holidays.

Of what use is the religion of PEACE, where you cannot practice and live in peace with others in the society, community etc. sad

The religion that put people in bondage. They are afraid of expressing themselves in any way or form. angry

He and his family celebrates Christmas every year and every year they face these backlashs. I love the fact that he continues celebrating it despite what people say unlike a politician that deleted a tweet because of people's opinion.

For those Christians, that are thinking of voting mu-mu apc ticket, this is just a pick to how these Muslims really think. Know that they will protest and kill freely when they take over.

Love how Salah ignores those terrorists, certain he will celebrate next years Christmas too like he has always done.

Man lives and plays for a Merseyside club with over 99 percent Christians, they pay him millions of Pounds every year, but for some reason he shouldn’t celebrate with them on their special day.

Islamist Fanatics/Terrorist are a menace to the world.

Merry Christmas from this side.

A simple Wikipedia check tells us that Merseyside doesn't isn't a 99 percent christian area. Whilst Christianity is the largest religion in the area, it has dropped from about 79% in 2001 to 57% in 2021.
Most young people identify as non-religious whilst other smaller religions are growing due to immigrants moving to the area.
You can't call someone a terrorist because of the religion they belong to. It's just like saying all men are terrorists because most terrorist acts are done by men. Shalom

Religion is just a form of political tool for dominance. Why aren't people visiting doctors, or entering a taxi/aeroplane, traveling to same religious faith connections? Hypocrites everyone claim to be peaceful and lovely and yet hate blacks especially or people of different religious faith.
