Most prominent politicians like Atiku, Kwankwanso, Bikola Saraki, Dino Melaye, Tambuwa, David Lawal, Yakubu Dogara, etc. who were backing Buhari then are no longer in APC. Those who are still around have gone mute.

3. Bad economy, chronic corruption & insecurity
For his role in deceiving Nigerians,
most people, especially Northerners are now transferring Buhari's failure on APC of which Tinubu is at the receiving end.

4. Controversies
Tinubu is more controversial than Buhari. As a matter of fact, there's no aspect of Tinubu's life that is not controversial. His entire life is shruded in secrecy. He has no family or childhood friends or classmates.

5. Heath challenges
Buhari was way heathier then than Tinubu now. Tinubu is suffering from chronic cognitive decline and general body weakness among other diseases. Tinubu is one day one gaffes. Buhari was not that worse.

6. Electoral system
With the amendment of electoral laws, snatching of ballot boxes and writing of results will no longer be possible. Rigging has been minimized. The only option left for Tinubu now is vote buying.

7. Mixed-faith ticket
