Tension in PDP as G5 governors head to UK to decide on preferred presidential candidate. The Nation reports that a source said the governors who had synchronised themselves as the Integrity Group are now tinkering with the idea of either throwing their weight behind the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, or the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi. It was gathered that at a private meeting of three of the aggrieved governors with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, he asked the G-5 to support Obi because no Igbo candidate had been elected president.

President Peter Obi will be endorsed by the rest of G5 after Ortom jumped the gun on Christmas day. Peter Obi is the next president of Nigeria. 3 Likes 1 Share |

It will be really difficult for Makinde to support Peter Obi instead of Tinubu. The pressure from Yoruba people will be way too much for him. I think he will be the deciding factor here. |

booblacain:you are partly right, but makinde is never the deciding factor, because without the Muslim -muslim ticket, they would have long jumped to APC ship. the G5 govs know that it is easier to win PDP by joining APC than by teaming up with LP party, but the mu-mu ticket is a big turn-off for them, it's really a dicey situation for them... no final decision have been taken by them, but they may decide that each individual support whomever they prefer . that mu-mu ticket is really a spoiler for Oga tinubu. |

smileyoo: You really think that muslim-muslim ticket means much to them? Aside Benue state governor, I do not think the muslim-muslim ticket is a big deal for those governors. |
