New Year message: *Tonye Cole Is The Glorious New Dawn For Rivers After Darkness In 2023* — Mene Zaa, Optimist.

The Coordinator Teamcolekhana LGA ,a chieftain of the All progressives Congress, APC, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae JP, Mene Zaa 1 Of Africa, has assured Khana people and Youth that the State will witness the change they have clamoured for years.

In a New Year message to the youth, Zaa's said though he had shared a message to Khana's in general, he found it crucial to direct a message to the youth because they are a critical population of the State.

He said 2015-2022 was a challenging years for most of the citizens Rivers State.

Zaa's, a former khana Constituency 2 Assembly aspirant in the Rivers State House of Assembly, said though these were enough for the people and youth to despair and wonder if they cares about them and could protect them, they should be hopeful.

“2023 has arrived at a time of great discomfort; but the beauty of the New Year is that we can look forward with renewed hope and the knowledge that things can and will change,” he said.

“In Rivers case, we can truly look forward to the change that the elections can, and will, bring. Our State will be secure again. Our State will prosper again.

“ With APC and Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni, I have faith that 2023 is the year we shall begin to write a new story – a story of our people and youth creating jobs and expanding the frontiers of innovation and creativity everywhere from Mavin Records to the Co-Creation Hub; a story of genuine investment in our children and students; a State that finally makes a permanent shift from our debilitating stage.

“I have unshakeable faith that 2023 will be the year of change, Tonye Cole and the APC would achieve all of them. There will be change in Rivers State".

“ Oh yes, you and I are disappointed and you are angry, as you are entitled to, but you must never give in to the temptation to feel so weighed down by those who have failed you that you lose your hope and your energy and your passion to see change. You must never give up on Rivers State.

The Nyo-Khana political Infantry General, further said “After darkness, a glorious dawn beckons for Rivers people's ,” saying a new Rivers of possibilities is possible in 2023 under APC and Pst. Tonye Cole.

His word , “Another Rivers is possible. A Rivers State where focused, visionary and competent governance vigorously tackles corruption, insecurity, poverty and promotes peace, progress and prosperity for all is attainable.

“After the current darkness, a glorious, new dawn for khana and Rivers is possible. But this needed change will not occur by chance. It can only be the result of deliberate and purposeful action on the part of our people to utilise democracy and popular power to achieve State liberation and transformation.”

The political octopus 1 Of Ogoniland said it would be easy to give in to despair and despondency at the current state of our Dearest Rivers State under the PDP Wike-led adminstration because the gap between the State tremendous potentials and actual attainments was depressing and disheartening.

He argued that a State as endowed with human, material and natural resources as Rivers State should not have the level of poverty in which the vast majority of the our people live.

Mene Zaa said the ever widening inequality between the wealthy minority and the impoverished majority was fuelled largely by a scale of corruption and outright theft of public funds that had reached unprecedented heights in today’s Rivers under Wike led PDP governments.

“Rather, we must utilise the power of our vote to ‘take back our LGA's and Rivers ’ from the predators and scavengers in the corridors and bedrooms of power that currently hold her hostage. This calls for eternal vigilance to exercise our vote and protect out sacred mandate at the polls,” Zaa's said.

Also in his New Year message, the Teamcolekhana LGA Deputy Coordinator, Comr. Nubor Optimist Goteh , said the future prosperity of khana and Rivers State is tied to the change the people would make through the opportunity provided by the March governorship and February National Assemblies elections in the State.

The Deputy Coordinator urged khana and Rivers electorates to use their votes “as the only power they have to make the right change and bail themselves and the State out of the current inept PDP-led government which has proved to be helpless as the LGA's and State continue to writhe in the pains of general insecurity, corruption, economic hardship and poor leadership.”

Comr. Optimist urged her members, supporters and Leadership's to keep hope alive, stressing that their bondage to 8 years of misgovernment would be terminated in 2023 when APC and Tonye Cole eventually wins.

“My message to you, my Brother's , sisters and teeming members is that your freedom lies in your own hands,” he said. “We must celebrate 2023 as the year that Rivers broke loose from impunity, misgovernment and underdevelopment.

“And Khana, Rivers South East Senatorial district and Rivers must themselves make this happen, not only by voting, through protecting their votes from the cabal that believes that it has the electoral formula,” Optimist added.

They both thanks and aplauded the LGA Executives, Ward Coordinators and their Executives member and thousands of her membership across the Ward's in khana LGA, for standing firmed in the faced of many challenges and in defending her goals and objectives ahead of 2023 general elections for the success of her principal and in ushering in a new Governments. Zaa's particularly expressed confidence and trust in her Ward's Executive Members , Coordinators and all constituted Sub-Committee of the team and wishing them a prosperous New year.
