BREAKDOWN of the “dramatic” Hamas announcement on Shabbat: Earlier today, Abu Obeida (the masked coward) crawled out of his hole to release a video where he claimed that Hamas had ambushed an IDF force in a tunnel in Jabaliya in Northern Gaza and captured Israeli soldiers. He released a 30 second video of a “soldier” supposedly being dragged away in a tunnel and of the kits and weapons of the other soldiers who were killed. Almost immediately, this laughable propaganda attempt was disproven by the clear errors in the video and picture and by the IDF Spokesperson who said no soldiers were kidnapped. Apart from the denial directly from the IDF, if we look at the video and picture Hamas released, the mistakes start to pile up. First off, the video in the tunnel is of Hamas members dragging an unidentified body dressed in civilian clothing without a weapon or kit. Additionally, the unarmed Hamas “commandos” who supposedly conducted this ambush are wearing flip-flops. I guess Hamas now has the ability to conduct deadly ambushes without weapons and in shower shoes. The picture of the IDF kit that Hamas released shows 3 sets of vests and helmets and most interestingly 3 suppressed CZ Scorpion EVO submachine guns. This is not a weapon that ANY Israeli military units use, and as far as I know there are no CZ Scorpions in Israel whatsoever. Whether these are airsoft guns or weapons that Hamas smuggled in from Egypt/Iran I don’t know, but I can tell you with certainty that no IDF unit has or is currently using those weapons. Large forces of the IDF have been operating in the Jenin refugee camp against terrorists for the past few hours. In addition, IDF forces are operating in Ramallah and Nablus as well. If there is one “good thing” that came out of October 7, is that we woke up to the need to uproot terror all across the region. It’s not easy, it requires much patience, perseverance and endurance. It might cost us a price. We owe it to our children not to allow this monster to rise up against us again. |

As soon as Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for Hamas, announced the kidnapping of a soldier by the organization (which the IDF denied), an intensive psychological warfare campaign began on Hamas's official and unofficial networks to amplify the 'achievement.' Terrorist organizations excel at taking a tactical event (which, as mentioned, according to the IDF did NOT happen) and turning it into a strategic event.

Hamas fakes kidnapping an ISRAELI soldier? In a video published by Al Qassem Military Media, Palestinian terrorists of Hamas movement can be seen dragging the body of an IDF soldier who was ambushed in Jabaliya. Hamas has claimed it has also captured a few of his friends but has not provided additional footage yet. In Jabaliya, where the 98 Paratroopers division of the IDF operates, ISRAELI paratroopers are equipped with M4 carbine NATO rifles, and soldiers of the 89th "Oz" Brigade (98th Division) are equipped with M4A1 carbine, Tavor's, and Negev light machine guns. In the video, Hamas publishes footage of Czech-made M-CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 submachine guns not seen being used by any IDF soldier in Gaza. Moreover, Czech-made guns were seen being used by Hezbollah SOF "Radwan Force" in a photo posted near April 17, 2024. Moreover ISRAELI military observers note that the IDF hasn't used 9mm submachine guns recently.
