Barely a month after,precisely on the 14th of December I took my car to the same place for work to commence, he said 110k could nolonger finish the work that I have to add another 25k making 135k after negotiation we later settled for 120k, I asked when the car would be ready he said I should give him 2weeks maximum, last week Thursday I went to his workshop to see how far he had gone with the work, he said the car will not be ready till Friday again I protested, he attributed the delay to Christmas and New Year Holiday (As if he was not aware of it before now). I went there again today to remind him of his promise that the car would be ready this Friday,he didn't say anything. He later çalled me this evening that the 120k agreed on can nolonger finish the work that I will have to add additional 25k citing different reasons ranging from the painter's workmanship to cost of materials as if it wasn't part of the money (120k) charged before now, there and then I told him on phone that he was joking, that at this point I have nothing to add to the 120k, mind you I had already paid 80k out of the 120k, I am left with 40k to balance up. Please I need your contribution.

Involve other people at his workshop but get ready to add some funds maybe 10k just to let go and all.

I rejected the job, went to a police station, they picked the basterrd up and he started saying the color I requested was a Factory Color and a Glass paint and it couldn't be purchased here, What Nonsense!!!

The car is very fine sha cos I bought new Bumpers, fenders, headlights, Rearlights etc but it's not the color i wanted.

Part of me would wanna Curse the painter but when I remember the Ashawo Magnet Color, I'll just Shake my head and smile.

No! Don't encourage this scamming behavior. OP, even if you have 5 billion in your account, use that money to get the police involved until that greedy shop complete your work as agreed. I've met their type before and I do much hate that treatment of a customer whose only crime is patronizing your services and paying you bulk half payment in advance. I received exactly the same treatment from the carpenter that roofed my house last December.

Finally went to inspect the Car today, they did a nice job, but couldn't be convinced to drop the 25k, I told the mofo I can only afford 10k in addition to the 40k balance, told him I will pay 45k now and balance the 5k by month end, Sapa is on rampage everywhere now. Thank you all.
