Things can be fixed when the elite decided to be nationalist rather than being selfish and self centered.
This what Hamza Almustapha wishes could happen in Nigeria

Elites worldwide are mostly self centered, only that the African Elites added highest level of wickedness to theirs. Well, I don't think Almustapha qualifies to even be mentioned on this topic, his past stinks. I doubt he will ever be trusted with power beyond the State level ever again.

It is disturbing that politicians can influence the political choices of ordinary Nigerians but won't be there to suffer with them when things go wrong like we are going through in the hands of Buhari today.

Nigerian electorates need to have independent minds. To achieve that, I have always been an advocate of SSCE certificate or its equivalent being the minimum requirement for obtaining PVC in this country.

This will eliminate underage voting, reduce the cost of conducting elections, eliminate bad electoral choices and compel the north to educate their people to maintain the position as a region that controls the block votes.
why not only those that studied political science up to professorship?

Why don't you wonder why there are no good influences in politics instead of looking for shirt cut

There is no way Nigeria will get that saviour she is in dire need of anytime soon, except the country reverts to regional governance at the very least.

We have 37 regions
They are all bad [/quote]

The next governmrent will just come up with excuses as usual. The problem of Nigeria is multifaceted,

Not really
Or only problem is laziness which enables socialism which breeds failure

I see none of the frontrunners sincere and well equipped enough to change the status quo.

The problem is that what one possess, the other lacks...Good academic qualifications, age, health, track records, nationwide acceptability, religious tolerance etc

The political class in conjuction with their religious counterparts, make use of religion and tribal difference to play the masses, after the power falls on their laps they unite behind closed doors for another 4 years.
The game is the game

If you think you have free will to choose your leader, you are greatly mistaken. All nah scripts written behind the scenes
we do have free will
Your just to lazy to do the needful

Point of correction, we do not have 37 regions, rather, we have 36 states, plus the FCT...and all are divided into 6 regions. Will all may be bad, but some are far better than the others. So let everyone develop at their own pace with their mineral resources, and so that everyone can hold its own tribesmen in political positions responsible.

I beg to differ, as a people, we are nor lazy, neither is the government too. Although, the political class can be cruel, but I don't blame them atimes when they embrace socialism or welfarism kinda govt. The thing is that Nigeria's problems are multifaceted, we are neck deep in debt, and even if the next President somehow finds a way to maneuver the problems and the debt, four years isn't enough to fix the decadence, neither is 8 years. Now, would Nigerians be that patient? Will there be continuity if the President lays the foundation for a better Nigeria.

Yeah, you are right, the game is the game, but it isn't good enough for the country.

You just keep shouting "lazy lazy"...could you please shed some light on that?

Many of us have been fed with false story and negative propaganda about Al-Mustapha. If you have the opportunity to listen to his side story you will him better. I was like you until I watched him on The Oputa panel a few years ago. There is a real danger in a single side story.

Abdulsalam that imprisoned Almustapha cried out of Oputa panel. The Oputa's Panel of inquiry that was set up because of him found no fault in him. Even all the witnesses line against him later came out to say that they were given a script of what to say against Al-Mustapha. For example, Barnabas Jabila aka Sgt Roger was among those who came back to reverse their testimony. The judge that sentenced him ran out of the country when called to witness during an appeal.

Among the 18 runners so far, no candidates has ever display competency like Hamza in terms of problem identification and solution provided. I will dare to say none of them has the level of patriotism he has.

When Abacha died, he was the first contact. He could have seize power for himself but did not.

Funny enough, I didn't even know he was running for Presidency until you mentioned it now. How come is his name isn't in circulation?

Well, he was obviously the fall guy since his boss died, he had to shoulder it all. Whatever was perceived of him and his real role in Abachas government, I believe are stains that can't be washed away from his public image ever again. Historically, whenever there is a stinking info about an individual, and it is allowed to stick for months or years, no amount of rebuttal or cleansing can redeem the person's image in the public's eye again.

I wish him well though

I think those who want care to listen to him will know the truth.

Watch him on brekete family radio. Don't be surprised, he has millions of followers across Nigeria, most don't even know he was contesting. Another reason why the media don't give attention was that they don't want people to know he is contesting.

it's not about Osinbajo reacting, he is not there as a Christian VP to do anything as their is nothing he can do
He he just there as a statue, representing the christians

A Muslim/Muslim ticket can bring a change to the constitution, and that damm Sharia law will be added into constitution and be used nationwide

Muslims will dominate all political offices, like they are doing in APC already

And also a change of the Nigerian name into a Muslim one, like one bst proposed some years ago, 2017 or so will become a thing again, like they did in Turkey

Christians will fill left out

And chaos like this ones in southern Kaduna might become a nationwide thing

And many more I can't explain

In all Nigerians do, they must say no to a Muslim/Muslim ticket

For everyone good

Anything that will bring the end to the shit hole is welcome, just that I believe that nigeria is not worth the life of any human being no matter where they come from, there are people in nigeria who will prefer to die in suffering than to see a certain people happy or accept that any good will come out of them, most people who voted buhari two times know the type of person he is and will vote him a third time just to spite another set of people, and they are doing same again now, I don't believe that these people are stupid, they are the haters calling others haters,
