Why demolish? ... why not confiscate and use as an orphanage or sold at auction?
@ topic ... couldn't they simply take these guys to some hideout area .... arm them with their guns unloaded and engage them in a gun battle? We should now be reading 20 kidnappers killed in shoutout with our gallant Police officers whose superior firepower neutralized the bandits.

May God continue to bless our security men. They sacrifice their lives on daily basis to ensure we are safe. Too bad they are underappreciated by most Nigerians.
It's a shame that most Nigerian youths don't respect our uniform men and women but i hope that someday this narrative will change for good.

It is so because the same uniform men are dubious and have oppressed the same peoole they are to protect. They have collaborated over time with criminals or turn themselves to criminals as well.
The police station is a business centre for example. Without payment your complain is as good as nagging
