Banilla: The problem is not masturbation, but lusting. If you can masturbate without lusting, then masturbation is not a sin. For example, if you masturbate to thoughts of sexual moments you have had with your spouse, that is not lusting, and that masturbatory act is thus not a sin. But supposing you masturbate to the image of another man's wife or a person you are not married to, then that masturbatory act is a sin. So, masturbation is not always a sin. It can even be a great way to stay faithful in the event that your spouse is away for a while, but you need to satisfy your sexual urge. It is a surest way to prevent sexually transmitted diseases/infections and infidelity. |

Banilla:There is no direct scripture about Masturbation in the Bible just as there is no direct scripture about the use of hard Drugs and Plastic Surgery or IVF etc. The Question of Sin or no sin now depend on the fruit produced by such an act. Does the fruit generated pass the test of the scripture Phil 4:8: "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true , whatever things are honest , whatever things are just , whatever things are pure , whatever things are lovely , whatever things are of good report ; if there be any virtue , and if there be any praise , think on these things." The phrase think on these things." could also mean DO these things." For out of the abundance of the heart a man is! So, the question you need to ask yourself is 1. Is masturbation pure? 2. Is masturbation lovely? 3. Is masturbation of good report? 4. Is masturbation filled with virtue or good report? If the answer to any above is NO, then you have your answer. On a second part, masturbation could be a sacrifice you unconsciously make to demons for control over your life. In the spirit realm, there is what is called a principle of EXCHANGE. It is one of the easiest means of demons afflicting a Christians life. It is just like hard drugs, as you take it, you handover the control of your life to demons. What does the bible says? 1Cor 6:18: "Be fleeing sexual immorality. Your Body Is The Temple of The Holy Spirit. Glorify God In Your Body Every sin which a person may do is outside the body. But the one committing-sexual-immorality is sinning against his own body." 2Tim 2:22: "Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart." How to overcome: 1. Understand the spiritual implications of masturbation 2. Actively Resist the devil with respect to masturbation a. Remove physical and emotional sources of temptations from around you b. Fill your time with positive things, positive activities c. Banilla:Masturbation has its roots in sexual lust and this is the sin if adultery is scripture - Matthew 5 vs 27 - 28. Sexual lust may not be sin to Muslims given that this sin is defined in the Law that is Jesus Christ, a Law which Muslims do not recognize as they worship instead Allah, but it is definitely a sin to those who are followers of Jesus Christ.  |

AntiChristian:Scriptyure doesn't mention a lot by the name you are used to but that is why Jesus Christ instructs His followers to use the understanding they have of HIs teachings and more will be given them as they do. From the teachings of Jesus Christ, what is made clear is that sexual lust in one's heart after another is a sin called adultery. Since those who are married are considered as one, it follows that the "another" is likely a reference to anyone to whom one is not married. And since masturbation relies heavily on sexual lust, it is easy to realize that masturbating to thoughts of an "another" is a sin. |

Masturbation: The process of manipulating ones own genital organs, whether a penis or clitoris for the purposes of self-stimulating removing the requirement for a partner. So, how can a married couple masturbate each other ? In marriage sex is legal and it is the only environment where mutual sexual pleasuring is not a sin (and this is NOT masturbation by definition)! BluntTheApostle:Sex is not forbidden but it is not of the Kingdom of God either. It is just that I find interesting what Jesus Christ said in Matthew 19 vs 12, which is that God has given permission to some to live as Eunuch for the sake of His Kingdom, implying that while being married is not of the Kingdom of God, living as a Eunuch can be. And of course, those who live as Eunuchs for the sake of the Kingdom of God regard sexual lust as a sin that it is. |

Kobojunkie: Paul lived as a eunuch, and yet advised people to marry if they cannot stay celibate. Now, to the unmarried and to the widows I say that it would be better for you to continue to live alone as I do. But if you cannot restrain your desires, go ahead and marry - it is better to marry than to burn with passion. (1 Corinthians 7: 8-9) He obviously didn't see marital sex as sexual lust. |
