temitope66: OP, all the people shouting Noun yen-yen-yen won't tell you the truth of how the system works there. The truth is that in Noun hope you know that you won't be going for NYSC? Ok, let's say you enroll there and you apply for a job that requires you to present your NYSC certificate, where will you get that from? Secondly, Noun have many cases of missing results. Then while pursuing my second degree don't know about now, you will write an exam like say 7 courses it could be 5 courses that will be released. You will go and complain and they will ask you to write a letter of complaint, then it takes forever to get a response. You have no choice than to go and re-register for the course again especially if they are compulsory courses. Another thing in Noun is that you pay school fees semester by semester unlike in the conventional university that you pay per session. And again there's a possibility of you extending your year of graduation as my late Sis that did her BSC there, it took her 7 good years before she could graduate. Infact it was when she passed away that her name finally came out amongst the list of graduating students last year due to the cases of missing results I highlighted above. I won't discourage you but I have to tell you the truth about Noun, it's money consuming. You just look for any Noun students and ask them some questions as regards what I enumerated above and see if it's real or not. If you can do a part- time in a conventional university while still keeping your job, it's better than you going to Noun. Or you quit your job apply for Direct entry in a conventional university and use your skill to fend for yourself while in school. I wish you the very Best! Cheers |

don't try it Ooooh, just register for national open University with. direct entry you will never regret it. you will have the convenience of worth and study, just reserve your leave and sick leave, the way Nigeria is today you can't leave your job and expect it to be waiting for you when you graduate to come and continue. it's better you work and study, national open University doesn't go on strike and they offer direct entry admissions. I'm a student of noun too, if people are graduating their 4yrs without additional year you can also do so. if you need any guide you can PM me |

Nolevel666: I really feel bad hearing what happened to your sister. It's quite a bad and pathetic experience under this harsh economic conditions, all in an attempt to better her life. In my own case, i just need a remote or part-time job to augment my income, as one stream of income is not enough in this country, especially if you have responsibility towards yourself and family members. I've worked and still work (depending on job availability) as a customer care representative, data entry personnel, online tutor, thesis writer among others; reason why i reached out to that fellow when he mentioned the job opening. Well, there are still good people regardless of our ugly experiences. May God continue to help us. Once again, sorry about what happened to your sister, and thank you for the advice. I appreciate. |

You can learn skills like software on you tube and still keep your job. but if you are not from wealthy background and want career that is sure to make you money, go Software development. Cause whatever diploma you get is not worth half as much as the demand for developers. I worked as robotics engineer in Europe for over 20 years, but the higher you go the more you realise the racist Europeans want to destroy your career and see you in jail for having the nerve to be ambitious blackman. So left my career, to find new career i can do from home, since then i have learnt several new programming langues for things like game development and real time trading. The trading Apps turned out more profitable than game development so am following that path. Took me 7 years trying all kinds of skills you can learn quickly from you tube , to reach a profitable path. But all the skills i gained along the way made it a success. All those diplomas are useless, If you can develop software, you will have limitless access to jobs. Just make sure is something specialist not what everybody is doing. If you can write code, they will employ you and not even ask what school you went , never mind ask for your diploma . If you go for programmer, try to learn as many useful programming languages as possible, remembering that at the core they are all similar, so each new one you learn will be easier to understand. This buy thought himself how to code in secondary school, he is now a developer and crypto millionaire using his own trading apps to make money in crypto. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK2ZBBLp6-k&list=UULFdnzT5Tl6pAkATOiDsPhqcg Go for hardcore skill not diploma, people with diploma are told what to do, people with real skills do what they want. Listen to the boys story, school is raw deal for poor people in this age of internet , school is only for rich kids, only they can afford to waste time in school. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Hamachi: Really who school help? A refined mind thinks better in business and succeeds more than a crude mind. @temitope66 First have bountiful savings that can cover you for a session from school demands to personal petty cash. Secondly you said you have a high in demand skill, that doesn't change anything, do you understand the dynamics of attracting customers and securing revenues from them? without this very skill you may experience lack, therefore test this skill within your environs and see how you could secure a good and sustainable customer base, if it doesn't depend on people, say skills in forex or cryptos then by all means if you have consistent results and a proven mentor you're good to go. All the best bro, we're at the same spot at the moment, I seek further studies as well. 2 Likes |

I advise that you do not quit your job for now,- since you are already in your ND2. This means you will soon be done with your ND and go for 1 year industrial attachment, which can enable you for focus on your work and side hustles. If you informed your employer that you are concurrently running your education program as well, then you can focus on your career during your industrial training/attachment and have them sign your forms/activity logs for your attachment (perhaps these have change over time) Then If you are able to save some money and maybe things might improve(now is not a good time to quite your job), then you can quit the work and focus on your studies & finish well. It also depends on if you have a good support system(family/friends) that can assist to pick your bills & support your education if things do not work out as envisaged. All the best temitope66: 1 Like |
