First the presidency has no authority to give nod to anything? The executive power of the federation lies with the presidency and not the president.
Secondly, the 35 thieves should have been carried along with the policy as they too are major stakeholders in the Nigerian project.

Thirdly the other 360 thieves of the house of representatives and 106 thieves of the senate should also have been carried along, as it is them that makes laws for the country, make budgets and supervise the executive. It's completely beyond belief that the thievescin the national assembly were not aware of such an important policy.

Finally, since Emefiele is the only non thief according to you and his kinsmen, maybe we should just appoint him president or rather dictator, so that no one can question him.

If this new CBN policy is so useless and irrelevant like many Nigerians think, then why are politicians putting so much energy to fight and stop it, why are they so concerned about it?. They said it will affect the poor, what will affect the poor more than the things we've experienced previously in this country, Hunger, insecurities, killing at lekki, or even the recent hike in fuel price, but we never saw them put in such energy to fight these like they are doing now.

This recent CBN policy is clearly not to hurt Nigerian masses, even though it may some how affect a little, but it is to stop vote buying politicians. You can see why they are being so concerned and treating the matter with so much urgency and energy.

The process will not be halted. Cbn knows why the printed or circulated limited notes and the limited note has been given to the politicians. Few days to the election you will see enough new noted in circulations. I advised Nigerians to be patient. I believe Emefele is on the right direction.

The more you talk, the higher the risk of implicating yourself so right now his approach is wise... It was rumored that he would resign by this week (still 2 days left for the week to end, and he is a Nigerian, we don't resign easily).

But Nigerians are so terrible. This new naira redesign is to our advantage.

1. This will reduce kidnappings cum Ransome.

2. This will help reduce vote buying and people can vote their conscience for the kind of leader they really want and not forced to sell because of peanuts.

3. It will help improve the Naira because it will carry more value by becoming lesser available.
And billions of stacked naira notes will expire underground.

Don't mind them. They will support him with their lives because "he is our brother". In Nigeria everyone supports his brother or those they are gaining from to the detriment of Nigeria as a whole. Its only among the Yorubas that you will find Significant opposition to their own brother/sister who has done wrong things. (I still can't believe a Significant number of yorubas are supporting Tinubu, with a shady background, education and ties to drugs).

Take it from me, we will still be using the old naira notes by this time next year. Yesterday, my bank gave me crispy new old N1000 naira notes. The N1000 naira notes were dated 2022 and signed by Emefiele, meaning it was freshly minted.

I agree that the old notes will still fly around for some times but the usefulness of the policy can never be underestimated. Our politicians have bundles of cash stored at home as if they are paper, the policy is giving them headache big-time
