Eye witness video of the attack on former vice president Alhaji Atiku Abubarka's campaign convoy in Ogun state during on 18th of January.

From the clip, stones were being hurled at his convoy and that of his security details, which prompted his security details to fire warning shots to scare the attackers away.

Ogun state is in Southwest Nigeria, and geopolitical zone where APC presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu hailed from, and the state is under the control of APC.

Analyst says they attackers are suspected youths sympathetic to APC presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom they see as one of their own and hence opposition shouldn't be allowed to campaign freely in the state.

Bola Tinubu is notorious for his penchant for using criminals and touts locally known as agberos, to try to emasculate the opposition parties.

The popular presidential candidate of the labour party Peter Obi overtime have had his billboards and posters destroy in Lagos controlled by Tinubu, by suspected Tinubu's henchmen.
