CBN is already giving signal ahead , if CBN achieved 68% in 100 days ... how would they achieve 32% in 10 days?

Is there any country in the world that set deadline for returning of old notes?

I am not sure the policy will achieve what it was create for with the way things are unfolding. The ones printed have been hijacked by the politicians even when the cbn said no payment via counter but through atm machines... in short our politicians are above the law in this country.. for this policy to checkmate corruption it will affect everybody for it to be effective.

To achieve February 10, CBN must stop issuing the old notes back to Nigeria. On no condition should banks still be issuing the old notes to Nigerians. Starting from Monday, all banks must issue only the new notes over the counter and from ATMs.

they ought to have plan this ahead instead of putting the masses in an unnecessary tension. I have said I
A policy not well planned will surely stress people or fail.

Let’s be clear about this. The deadline for the use of the old notes as legal tender remains February 10. After February 10, the old notes will no longer be legal tender. However, a 7-day grace period to allow only deposit of the old notes at only CBN premises till February 17th was approved.

so far the banks still keep paying old notes via the counter it will still b postponed

If they are serious about it let them load all atm nationwide with cash so it will b easy for everyone to access it, even if they don’t want to release via counter

How can u release old note on d 9th n tell me it won’t b a legal tender on the 10th

Just 24 hours after
