First off, Ghana total military strength is 14,000 strong with its armed forces personnel alone numbering 7,000 and ranked 112th in the world. The full Nigeria military personnel are numbered at 162,000 with its armed forces personnel numbering 76,000 and ranked 34th in the world. Pls don’t ever compare sleep & death again. cool
it's not about numbers alone, how patriotic are they. Flash them a couple of Benjamin and see them attack Nigeria or compromise.

I just love how you military illiterates with zero knowledge of naval equipment and naval operations come here to pronounce what is what.

And those are WARSHIPS you're looking at, not ''boats'', you dullard.
I am illiterate that’s why I am asking, now can you answer my question?

How does this “warship” intends to fight off hordes of flies if attacked from both sides, a warship with just one gun at its port is a sitting suck, it’s only good for shelling bigger targets on lands or sea, but if this ships are attacked from the air on both sides how does it defend its self

It's baffling that we have all these sea power and yet pirates dominate our waters and steal our precious resources (crude oil)without being caught

People really need to answer pertinent questions. Whoever that tells you that change starts from ground is lying. If oga at the top do not condone stealing and corruption, his subordinates will definitely fall in line or get booted out of service.

February 25 will determine the lives of your children

After seeing all these war ships, I now remembered when Peter Obi said oil theives are backed by people in government. What is the maritime distance from Calabar to Lagos, relatively short! If Russia that has maritime boundaries as long as from Nigeria to Europe can effectively protect it from external aggressions then why is Nigeria incapable of guarding a couple hundred miles? Even with all these war ships??

The answer is corruption! Top politicians in government, army, navy and police are all involved in this organized crime! Should Tinubu or Atiku win, these crimes against the state will continue but should Obi win, we all know he will definitely stop it.

Nigerians should be wise. We have no business suffering like this everyday. All that is required is a responsible, responsive and honest president who doesn't tolerate corruption. Peter Obi is that man! Let's all vote for him for our collective good.

Err..That is what we have an airforce for bro...

In military campaigns, it is normally combined air and sea operation depending the enemy. The jets normally provide air cover for the warships on their missions. Go watch those WW2 movies on YouTube and see how it works bro. cool

Plus not every enemy has the capacity to send in jets. Who be our rivals? Shey na Ghana wey no even get one fighter jet?

There are many that have not been posted, plus there are several warships that have been ordered and should be in Nigeria soon. These are brand new, built-to-order capital warships.

The Nigerian Navy recently ordered two of these OPVs from Turkey.

well I applaud the Navy for fighting back but until recently, our crude oil were stolen with reckless abandon so much that we produced less than 1ml per barrel.

We thank God for today that things are better
through out the entirety of the past year, Nigerian waters recorded less than 3 pirate attacks.

Oil theft does not translate to piracy.

NNS Oji

The Nigerian Navy (NN) has deployed the third locally built Seaward Defence Boat (SDB 3).

NNS OJI (P275), the largest of the series, was specifically manufactured for operations in the Gulf of Guinea.

Most of the 43-meter structure is built with steel, generated at Naval Dockyard Limited, a unit of the Nigerian Navy..

OJI has a 30mm remotely operated gun, three 12.7 mm machine guns with an additional 40mm grenade launcher which is optional.

NNS Oji

The rugged, battle-ready vessel is fitted with modern navigation and communication equipment, a Simrad radar control station, and a RHIB at the rear for boarding.

The SDB 3 followed SDB 1 NNS Andoni (P-100) delivered on June 7, 2012, and SDB 2 NNS Karaduwa (P-102) delivered on December 15, 2016.

Which would become an easy and legitimate target for the numerous Frigates and Submarines of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Very wise comment
