The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has detained Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin, an Abuja-based Twitter user with the handles @SimisolaGold and Simisola of Lala, for allegedly proposing to sell the new Naira notes. Following his arrest on January 31st, Omoseyin has not yet mentioned the other syndicate members. According to the agency's spokesperson, Mrs. Azuka Ogugua, the suspect is currently being held by the ICPC and is assisting the commission with its findings on the illegal trading of the naira, the resulting scarcity, and the detrimental effects on the economy.
