Yea. But advisers also convince the president that their ideas are favorable. They come up with policies and present them. All the President will do is approve. Let the political and economic advisers come and tell us their plan based on the challenges the country is currently facing. Those Presidential aspirants have no clue on these issues in an in-depth way. Cause, solution and economic impact/effect.

A politician will lie and twist words. But you can tell the capability of the economic team by the substance and intelligence of the technocrats who will be in charge of critical affairs. Technocrats have a hard time telling lies especially when their thoughts can be broken down and assessed on the spot.
