MIND RENEWAL


-Is your mind renewed? Did you just say yes? Verywell, do you still access situations from the point of the flesh? Can you see spiritual influences in every matter of life? Can you perceive the spirits behind every act and deed?

-The mind of every man is in his soul, the mind is different from the brain or attention.

-The mind consists of systems of beliefs that has already been grounded in man's spirit, hence to reach the spirit we must go through the mind.

-When a preaching goes forth, it first touches the mind, it is the mind that decides through the will if the teaching will touch the spirit and transform the man.

-For a man to be transformed, his way of thinking must first be transformed, he does this by spending quality time studying the scripture.

-If our mind will be truly renewed, we must let go of all of our ideas, habits, methods and traditions. We must yield all these to the cross one by one as the Holy Spirit reveals.

-For example, during bible meditation, the believer may be studying about harming one's own body, then the Holy Spirit may start opening his mind to how he has been harming his own body, he must not argue with the Holy Spirit, but must continue to critically access himself if there will ever be progress in mind renewal.

-The believer may be full of information yet his mind may not be renewed. Mind renewal is only possible when we surrender our ideas and yield to the teachings of the Holy Spirit.

-Thinking is of the mind, while meditation is of the spirit. For a believer to journey from thinking to meditation he must exercise patience and repetition until he is carried along by the Holy Spirit.

-In other religions, they exercise blank minds and call it meditation, but we believers dwell gently, inwardly and continuously on the scripture the Lord presents to us, we call this meditation.

-A mind under influence of the Holy Spirit through the human spirit is peaceful and has clarity.
