Nazgul: So you feel packing multiple buses full with strictly corpers is the solution? I believe you are wrong. Cus that is when disaster will escalate. Then a single catastrophy will lead to multiple corpers death. Talkless of the fact that they will most likely be target for kidnappers. The problem is road accidents are a serious menace in Nigeria. It is not only corpers that die. People die. They are also important. The focus should be on how to make the roads better and ensure compliance of road safety measures. Only these can reduce the accident rates. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nazgul:Whilst your idea may seem like a good one to some persons, allow me to differ. Having buses with the inscription of NYSC on them may do more harm than good. Whilst travelling interstate, here and there, these copers may become the primary targets for bandits, terrorists and kidnappers, all looking for a way to make rouge money. Imagine the headlines talking about scores of NYSC corpers being kidnapped during travels. It is the same you and I that will say the government shouldn't have come up with the bus scheme. It will be tragic and tongues would wag. Another angle to look at it is, if God forbid an accidental occurs again, then more corpers are killed and families will be left groaning in pains and still blame the FG for the huge casualties, since it authorized the buses. So, in all, it's only time, chance , luck and God that could keep one safe. May god console the family of the deceased. |
