Excitement As UNAU Diamond Pageant Presents Winners Of SDGs Showcase 2022 Plots Of Land As Prizes

Queen Evelyn Chukwujekwu, a brand ambassador, social entrepreneur, and humanitarian was crowned Mrs. Nigeria III at the 3rd edition of the Mrs. Nigeria Beauty Pageant, held at the prestigious Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos, on 16th May, 2021. Thus, Queen Evelyn Chukwujekwu represented Nigeria at the world stage of the 10th edition of United Nations Pageant; and was crowned Mrs. Africa United Nations at the glamourous event that held at the Pride Plaza Hotel, Aerocity, New Delhi, India on the 7th May, 2022.

As Mrs. Nigeria III, Queen Evelyn have been passionately instrumental in transforming the lives of over 1200 girls and underprivileged single mothers within Nigeria, by making some quiet giant strides in the advancement of the cause of the youth, women folks and girl child. So far, she have been able to support IDP camps, school dropout girls, given scholarships to 150 indigent girls; supported over 100 autistic children, 3 orphanages, 4 rural communities, 5 schools and have reached out to over 1,000 children who have been impacted with her humanitarian activities.

As Mrs. Africa United Nations, Queen Evelyn is deeply pained with the rate of hunger, agony, poverty and chaos ravaging Africa. More so, Queen Evelyn is shocked to discover that Nigeria is ranked 139/163 on the 2022 world’s SDGs index, this fueled her quest to liberate Africa through her office as Mrs. Africa United Nations from the clutches of hunger, poverty and under-development, by establishing the SDGs Family & Business Showcase, a value-driven joint humanitarian initiative with UNAU Diamonds Pageant, that combines a unique blend of SDGs, Pageantry, Entertainment and Charity as an effective tool for promoting and domesticating the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to achieve our target for 10,000 Youths, Women and Girls as beneficiaries over a 8-year period of 2022 to 2030.

Taking into consideration of the fact that SDGs Family and Business Showcase, is a family pageant, targeted at Human Development and Capacity Building, has no overall winner as everyone is a winner in the spirit of supporting Nigeria in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, in consonance with the global SDGs slogan which is “Leaving No One Behind” as everyone including government, CSO, NGO, public/private sector, the business community and individuals are all expected and required to join hands together and ensure that the SDGs Agenda 2030 is achieved and make Nigeria a better nation.

The SDGs SHOWCASE 2022 was a huge success as the event had lots of great personalities in attendance. The event enlightened Nigerians on the importance of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the need for it to be embraced by all and sundry and ultimately domesticates it in all families and homes. The SDGs Showcase 2022 saw to the crowning of 11 Queens and 1 king, out of which they have I head Queen for each category and 1 king namely:

* Kineta Walker as Little Miss SDGs Showcase World
* Idris Safiya Sekpe as Miss Teen SDGs Showcase World
* Yusuf Halimat Onize as Miss SDGs Showcase World
* Fakeye Eunice Modupeola as Mrs. SDGs Showcase World
* Egwu Godwin Itatu as Mr. SDGs Showcase World.

Nobody contested under the Ms Category meant for single mothers, divorcée, widows, with or without children who are passionate and humanitarian in nature to champion the cause of women, peace and security, age 20 to 45 years;

The head Queens and King were presented with one (1) plot of land each making five (5) plots of land. They have received their land title documents with signed contract and have also been taken to the location to see the land.

This brought about so much excitement in the Pageant Industry because UNAU Diamonds Pageant is a talk and do brand. They also got consolation prizes from some sponsors like Airtel, Merika foods, Okay Energy Drink and key partnership from Bolingo Xperia Hotel, New Crystal Communications, T-1 Zone, Chikason and Capital Edge. Consequently, the convener of SDGs Showcase 2022, Queen Evelyn noted that, they will be unveiling other projects soon with the sole aim of domesticating the United Nations SDGs; uphold our family values; promote our cultural heritage, peace and security; recognize and appreciate corporate brands who are achieving the SDGs through their CSR projects; launch the One Goal - One Family initiative, provide mentorship, empowering people together for a new world and ensure Nigeria achieves the SDGs goals by the year 2030.

One of the contestants, Victoria Ojonogecha Ayegba who was initially crowned as Miss SDGs Showcase 2022 has been dethroned for obtaining the crown under false pretense and deceit, because she contested under the Miss Category meant for young, single and brilliant girls 20 to 40 years old, never married, no children, career oriented and loves to represent corporate Brands by advocating gender-based issues. The brand later found out that Victoria Ojonogecha Ayegba is married and should have contested under either under Mrs for married women or under Ms for single mothers, divorcée, widows, and certainly not under the Miss Category, thereby going against our rules of engagement with the terms and conditions therein, this invalidates her victory, nullified her crown and title. The brand wishes her all the best in her future endeavors. Yusuf Halimat Onize being the first runner up is now the crowned Miss SDGs Showcase World.
