Blames New Naira Notes Policy...

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its presidential campaign rally scheduled for Tuesday in Ibadan indefinitely.

The party’s publicity secretary in Oyo State, Olawale Sadare, stated in Ibadan on Monday that the decision was taken by Governor Simon Lalong-led Presidential Campaign Council given the current realities in the nation.

“We regret to announce the indefinite postponement of our presidential rally earlier slated for Tuesday. The decision was taken in consideration of the prevailing challenges facing the nation,’’ Mr Sadare stated.

The party expressed regret that the current cash crunch and its effect on the populace, fuel scarcity, and hike in the pump price of petrol compelled it to take the decision.

“We need to allow President Muhammadu Buhari to work around the situation and ensure that normalcy returns, particularly as it concerns fuel and currency notes crises.

“At Oyo APC, we were convinced that it was necessary to go ahead with the event in order not to play into the hands of some antidemocratic forces who do not want the general elections to hold,’’ it stated.

He added that a new date for the rally would be announced in due course while assuring that the APC would host its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in no distant future.

The party appealed for calm among its loyalists and assured that the party would be victorious in the forthcoming general elections.

Tinubu has lost this election no magic he can perform with election less than 21 days time.
His small support base in the North has completely collapsed, and he needed to to win at least 50% of votes in the North
In order to have any chance of being elected.
Atiku and PDP have overun and taken over the North East and North West to the bewilderment and shock of APC Governors who can't even guarantee their own electoral victory for Senate and Governorship positions they are contesting for, not to talk of guarantee Tinubu victory in the North
Atiku has taken over Buhari and CPC Northern block votes without a sweat...That is the reality on ground today in the North East and North West.

Asiwaju doesn't need to campaign in Oyo. The state is on total lockdown for Tinubu.
