Yorubas are not tribalistic people, but on the contrary we are the most friendly to other tribes in Nigeria. Yoruba land is the only place where we tolerate and never wage tribal or religious war on other minorities among us. We shares our land and our heritage with other tribes, and most importantly Yoruba's are the only tribe that marries most to other tribes in Nigeria, expecially igbo. However It is questionable why Igbos always expect full loyalty of the Yoruba's in order to achieve any political ambition. Similarly is Igbo campaign for Biafra republic, which Yoruba's opt-out in a war that will solely profit Igbos, but leaves them with casualties. Tinubu has made himself an icon of southern politics . He has been doing his home work for many years in order to flag up his presidency interest in the future. Not surprised why the man said " emi lo kan" His desire to run for presidency is personal and doesn't speak of the interest of the entire people in the southern region. As a political godfather he won the loyalty of the relevant politicians in his party who represents the grassroot people . And that is why as many politicians stepped down for him during primaries and he eventually emerged as the flag bearer of APC ; contrary to the wish of people to see VP Osinbajo as their potential choice. Your statement against Yorubas will break the heart of many Yoruba youths that have devoted their support to Mr. Peter Obi in the ongoing campaign without any ethnic sentiment. Bear in mind that Lagos state is the stronghold of Tinubu and it is expected that it will be a hostile place for any other political party to run activities, because he has the overwhelming support of his people. One thing I know is that Peter Obi will need massive vote from the South west( the Yoruba's) for him to emerge as the next president, if not the reward of his political ambition will owe him just fame.
