justmondris: As you may recall 1.The internet service in most villages is 2g...which is slow and inefficent. (In most cities, we are on 4G and increasingly 5g). As one LP candidate for the National Assembly said of his constituency (Delta State)..service can be so poor, that POS operators have to find a good spot...and then use the network there... 2.POS operators do not even have the new naira notes right now. New naira notes are so scarce that Punch reported that many POS operators are closing . 3.Many of the Northern states have large rural areas Okay, many of you Southern guys have no idea how large the North is landmass wise. There are remote rural areas that have zero internet, and zero phone service. Getting money requires a long journey sometimes to the nearest LG headquarters I know that Tinubu guys don't love the new currency thing...because no cheating and buying of votes...but rural areas too have issues with getting money. That's why we need more expansion of mobile banking, mobile services, and even internet into the rural areas nationwide. |

Is it the first time we've changed our naira? No! But are we having this problem this time, CBN is not performing his functions as claimed but try to be use to wishhut someone for the purpose of election. If CBN is seriouse with her responsibility, there's no need for council of state to intervene before the issue is resolve. Even the one we change when emefiele had not join CBN, is that how it was done. At least Gbadamosi babangida did one, so he can't claime not to know it will lead to this. |

Tinubu is too desperate. He doesn't care if Nigeria is burnt down as long as he win the election. God will never allow this evil Muslim Muslim ticket to succeed. |

DMerciful:It was hanging.Seriously hanging because of traffic. All these facilities should be at least 75% smooth before Nigerians can be subjected to this kind of transaction. They did not do their homework very well before plunging the nation into this senseless hardship. Great thanks to those govs that went to the Supreme Court. |

Kobonaire4: Any reform implemented in bad faith like this is bound to fail no matter how necessary, lovely and important it is. This has failed already. This policy is going out with Buhari's administration no matter which candidate wins |

JASONjnr: This is exactly what is causing panic, no one from CBN has responded to supreme court judgement. Except for one irresponsible official from CBN who responded negatively to the judgement immediately after the judgement. Emefiele ranted yesterday and today but still refused to address the judgement positively or negatively. Most Nigerians are law breakers and most Nigerians would want you to break law if it favours them. Imagine Zombiedients expecting Buhari to disobey supreme court judgement after calling him dictator and someone who has no regard for law all these years! It is shocking! |

maasoap: I don't think it was in bad faith per se ( and i don't think that it can stop vote buying either. Vote buying will stop when poeple realize that selling their vote is not productive). I think that the time to go cashless is now and we also need to get rid of the black hole of illicit cash transactions. But then again, i don't care for what apc, lp and pdp get up to. Factions of the same party they are. |

Re: CBN Debunks Claims About Capacity Of NSPMC Plc, Alleged Threats To Close Banks by maasoap(m): 10:38pm On Feb 11, 2023 |
Kobonaire4: No matter how one looks at it, it was implemented in bad faith. There was no ample time given to the citizens to adjust, it was supposed to be gradual. Not enough new notes, far from what was removed from the circulation! Speculation put the new notes at 1/9 of the Old notes. Banks were not allowed to upgrade their facilities to be able to cope with the surge in digital transactions. Emefiele knew that all these steps were important to the successful implementation of the cashless policy but ignored all of these for only reason known to him. That was done in bad faith |

naptu2: The Hausa traders have decided to collect both old and new notes from Nigerians, while others have decided not to even have anything to do with the old notes. The Hausa traders will continue to blossom in business, while businesses of those that insist on the only new money will or may run outta business. The epileptic network will never make the cashless policy successful until it is addressed. Common sense connotes that the backbone of the cashless policy is a good uninterrupted network delivering at 99.99% optimum 24/7. |

copied For doing this, I have forgiven Buhari all his sins because now, 1. Kidnapping and armed robbery will never happen in Nigeria again 2. Ritual killings will no longer work since there's no enough cash for the spirits to steal and gift the ritualists. 3. Banditry is now past tense 4. Stealing of government money is now past tense. 5. Corrupt politicians will be reduced to nothing. 6. Thuggery will no longer be lucrative. 7. Assassination will no longer be a lucrative business 8. No armed robber will come to your house just to collect 20k and he cannot ask for transfer. 9. No more vote buying 10. Politicians will no longer be extremely rich 11. All the proceeds of kidnapping business collected with the intention of using it to buy arms to deal with Christians will no longer be useful. Etc. God bless Emefiele and Buhari because they will soon be the true heroes of our liberty from corruption and Corrupt politicians |
