Shouldn't the CBN bring out a memo on the supreme Court judgement and let us know if Friday deadline is still valid? CBN and Misplaced priority

In fairness to the man( and i am not his fan), a large part of their support base is in the rural areas which are notoriously underbanked and as such have a hard time seeing where to get new naira

Most rural areas also have poor internet supply which means that pos service may not reach them.

There is no village without a POS.

Naturally they complain and complaints reach the governor

I'm backing the currency reform tho. It is a necessity.

I want them to go and give reasons to the supreme court, why the deadline should hold before Feb. 25th.....

The three governors want the deadline extended beyond Feb 25th....
The CBN has already achieved what it set out to do. The next two weeks will be pregnant with their effort.

It’s the timing this is when people should be getting ready for school fees next semester or even buying food down you can’t even freeze so fresh food needs to be made. It means everyone has to transition to Smart payment options or transfer.

It’s not even the fact you can’t get cash it’s the fact that they steal the little you have from inside your account and have the nerve to form Islamic hatred

What has Islam has to do with your problem?

No going back on the new naira policy .. Nigerians are already feeling the heat but clearly the politicians are feeling it more. People like El Rufai and his counterparts from Niger, Zamfara and Kogi need to explain to Nigerians why they are so interested in the new naira policy

No one should blame commercial banks because like we have clearly seen they weren't given enough cash.

Can you please keep sh ut!

I wish you are close to me, I may be tempted to hit you a heavy bl ow.

Banks are the major ca use, if not the sole caus e of all these which is not unconnected to their dubi ous and corr upt nature.

If u say ur working on meeting the current needs in terms of quantity, does that not mean uv fallen short capacity wise?

Doesn't that mean something is is hindering the printing

the court didn't mention the name of the CBN grin, it only said federal government, and the minister said they have complied so what has the CBN got to do with that?

Damage control.
Emefiele has already incited the public against himself nah.Even against president Buhari.
The only reasonable thing he can do now is to quickly follow the advice of the COS.

Was CBN joined in the suit? No! It was tge States of Kaduna, Kogi , kano that took FG and not CBN to court. Why should CBN respond? Has the fg not responded when Malami said they'd obey court order?

The intention is to reduce cash!

Go cashless to rwduce corruption!
Paulyaweh:
Bunch of clowns.

So the NSPMC has the capacity but is still working on printing all denominations of the Naira to meet the transaction needs of Nigerians.

After how many months, You knew you were changing the notes, asked banks to take out all the old notes and did not print enough but now you're working on it.

Should everything not have been put into place before implenting this new policy.

Why lie in the first place that the banks had been given enough new notes when you have clearly not printed enough...

Must we jump into everything blindly without planning.

Keep working while the country turns to chaos.

Crazy bunch

Nigerians needs to make sacrifice for a better Nigeria!

The educated people should use online banking and transfer!

If everybody calm down, within a week it'd be resolved. Its the unnecessary hysteria and everybody wanting to withdraw at the same time and the handiwork of fraudulent bank managers causing the hardship

It is a very good policy but the time frame and unpreparedness of CBN.The inability to print at least half of the money mopped up.

The intention is not to print much money. Why can't people do online transactions? More than half of people in urban areas have smartphones
