Awolowo observed in 1940 that Igbo politics was built on hate for Yoruba people and obsession for their heritage. As it was in those days, so it is today. Embracing from a people obsessed to destroy you to rise at your back is ethnic suicide. A quick walk on history lane 1951, Zikism politics of the East was built on a near obsession to conquer westen region through politics. The sage checkmated this and saved us from a people who would have boasted today of how they conquered us, same way they hype their influence in their local London ( Lagos) 1961-66, First republic, NCNC did everything to destroy Yoruba nationalism and destroy its leaders. Broke Midwest from western region, worked with saros to have an enquiry on Awo ( led by Coker), put the sage in jail and ran his party underground. 1967 - In Ojukwu's struggle for Biafra, he claimed to be upset with Gowon and the North but matched his army towards Lagos to sack western region and assert his influence as an overlord before Obasanjo halted the Biafra invading army at Ore. 1978-1983, second republic politics was a gangup of Ekweme, Zik and later Ojukwu to isolate Yoruba politicians led by Awolowo to support Shagari and once again force Yoruba people into opposition as they did ij the first republic. 2010-2015, sons of Zik teamed up with GEJ to ostracize Yoruba politicians and force them into opposition like their fathers did and schemed to assert politicial influence in the commercial centers of Yorubaland as their pressured the govt to declare Lagos as a non Yoruba state. 2016 - present, IPOB, acting as pseudo militant wing of Eastern politics showed open hatred against Yoruba elites, built fake friendship with Yoruba nationalists & used the influence to burn down Lagos during endsars to avenge GEJ defeat that removed them from corridors of power. 2023, Election season, Atiku/North gets soft landings while all hate/ attacks and smear campaigns is directed to Yoruba elites and heroes including Awolowo and MKO with the propogandists using the saros and minorities like their fathers did with the likes of Macaulay and Coker. Once again like Ojukwu narhed soldiers to Ore, their political cannons face the west and the Jubrils of Sudan/supporters of APC are their friends once again. The mistress is back with her sugardaddy. One from among a people who seek your downfall to rise can NEVER be your messiah. March to the houses of your elites and force them to bend to your will... NEVER embrace an alien from a people with a hsitory of obsession to make you second class citizens in your ancestral home. https://twitter.com/akerele_s/status/1625134986536923136?t=ja5QuEtbEhV04ofj2dKb7w&s=19 10 Likes

Carry your bigotry commot for here. What's supposed to be paramount to us is the liberation of the yoruba race from the bondage of fulanis, a minority ethnic group in Nigeria whom our forefathers had sold us to. They picked Lawan instead of Tinubu despite his efforts in installing buhari but before the latter could be allowed to have his way, they dictated to him on whom to run with him and he accepted without raising any objection. Jonathan would have broken the jinx but same Tinubu shuned him and went to his slave master and picked buhari. Between Jonathan and Buhari, whose government is now more corrupt? I leave you to decide on this. That man who stole over 100bn naira is still a freeman today. The vessels of crude sold to China during the covid-19 lock down had been swept under the carpet. You'd be shocked how fulani would dribble Tinubu in this election. Attack me after 25th. Go and read the book titled WHY WE STRUCK written by Ademola Ademoyega. It was about the Biafran war. You'd realise the intention of the war, contrary to what some illiterates are speaking here and there. The intention was to free Awolowo and install him as president. They succeeded in freeing him while others imprisoned with him were killed in their various prisons. 16 Likes 3 Shares |

Cursed is the Tribe. Afonja bigots. It is still tribalism that wont make you see the reason for the January 1966 coup. All you know is Igbo this, Igbo that. When Afonja got the help of Fulanis, he couldn't see that the same Fulani would kill him. That would be the same with Tinubu. I wonder how Fulanis find it easy to feed Yorubas with sugar coated words. Thats how slaves behave. Colonial masters fed the kings well and in turn, the kings role their people to slavery. Because Tinubu your tribesman is going to be at the helm of affairs if elected, you cant see beyond that. Fulanis pushing you to doom and you just swallow it hook line and sinker. Most Yorubas are either not different from Afonja and his cohorts at that time or the generational curse placed on them is the problem. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Flathead8:this is hate speech. How many times do you hear of fights between Yorubas and Igbo in any town in Nigeria? Political calculation is not based on hatred but on calculations only. Pls stop propagating ethnic hatred for political gains. All the time the great Awolowo has chosen an Igbo, as his VP 1 Like 1 Share |

IGBOs should understand that even the FULANi are not as useless as Agbado Idiats who hate every tribe with passion. Imagine a tribe that clams that their ancestor Fell from heaven. We all know who fell from heaven. ITS THE DEVIL...and that is who Agbado Idiats are. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Eriokanmi:Facts are sacrosanct. Do not turn history on its head please. Who were your fore fathers that sold you to Fulanis ? Lol The ones who aligned with the Fulanis in 1959 or 1979 through 83 or the ones that connived with Babangida to annul Abiola's victory. Wait! I think I know now. It must be your forefathers that earnestly yearn for the despotic Abacha. Also, who succeeded in freeing who ?? Did you mean the soldiers succeeded in freeing Awolowo ? Who were killed in their various prisons ? Kindly elaborate on that. Where in the history of mankind has a military coup ever produced a civilian who didn't participate in the coup as a direct beneficiary ? Where would Awolowo get the legitimacy from ? A coup that killed all his contemporaries? It's funny you now claim to be Yoruba after telling anyone who cares to listen on this forum that you are not Yoruba but Edo. Oga, you are not the right person to discuss Yoruba matters. Sit this out PS: Nigeria didn't start in 2015. Get a proper book and read 2 Likes |

PointZerom:The era of tank and gun is over . It's now a battle of the brain and ideology A descendant of Afonja from his sprawling mansion in Ikoyi engineered the obliteration of a pseudo fulani political empire led by a crook called Saraki in 2019. Kwara may be north Central but it is increasingly becoming SWestern in ideology and identity. Infact, Kwara today is even more Yoruba in identity than Lagos. Kwarans are poised to reward Tinubu with their votes next month for doing what his ancestors couldn't do . He did this without firing a bullet . Go figure! 4 Likes 1 Share |

Flathead8: More divide and rule. There are more Yoruba people from academia and media that are in support of Obi/Datti ticket than Igbo elite.... Did the OP know that? Without Yoruba and the single handed efforts of Datti, Obi would not even have any chance at Presidency in Arewa or Oduduwa realms with the bribe bribe ways of PDP and APC... That's because at the end of the day Black people in Africa are tired of poverty and dance dance and violence.... things that are not creating a better society, and see that Obi gives them a better chance for securing a better future for future generations. He is Igbo, a proud Igbo man, who believes in the ability of ALL people, all tribes, all religions under the African sun. He is not talking about Awolowo or Zia or Bello or this or that, but talking about his ideas and plans for the future. Why is that so hard for folks to see and discuss, not Awo or Zik bullshyt...... Anyway, we have Black Africans and we have Black Niggers .... which one be you? |
