I don't know why these governors are desperate of this .... Please they should allow CBN do their thing

They said a Governor in North stored 22 billion naira in his house...

That money will be useless to him. You cant steal people and expect to go to court to protect your loot

supreme court dors not mk law, legislators do....the supreme court interpret laws nd only uses its judgement as law....

so the CBN has made a policy within the powers givin it by the legislature...so the supreme court cant interfere in the C BN policy

We all know that the supreme court has been bastardized but this is a crucial time for them to redeem their battered reputation by standing with the suffering masses. Let them decide what is the best for Nigerians.

Will they?

I doubt it but hope so!

What these governors need to do now is to file a suit compelling CBN to make available new notes instead of insisting of we spending old notes.
Old notes is as scarce as new notes presently, and banks might not release old notes back to the public.
Will emefiele listen? the fg promised to abide by supreme court ruling but, emefiele said no!

I hope this isn't what will happen.... Because, this might just be a game plan. And everyone is behind their plans.

The whole thing might just be to make it seems like the FG is fighting Tinubu when in the real sense, it's making it simple for Tinubu to scale through easily....

Let's ponder on this...
is it just me or Nigerians who attributes change of currency to vote buying are just dumb? Do you mean to say by next 4 years election, y'all will clamor for another change of currency? Tf y'all....

Am not bothered. CBN has it right to decide when and what is to be issued as legal tender and when to remove it from the economy.

Supreme court has no rights of telling CBN what to do in terms of currency.

Those supporting this are fools. We have been gradually goin through the process and becoming use to it. Do you even know that CBN should not make any decision without carrying ministry of finance ahead? Do you know that CBN is just like Naicom, itโ€™s just a department heading monetary policy and can be challenged? You need to read more before talking

Another thing people fail to understand about this regime is the man called Buhari, his decisions before coming in public are irreversible. Look at border closure on rice, Bvas and some other crucial things. This policy has come to stay. If you like die, the short term suffering can not be more than the long term enjoyment this will bring in the future.

Remember what CBN brought up yesterday

What is the thing that CBN should be allowed to do?

Is it by creating naira scarcity and making the majority of Nigerians suffer that you will make 22billion naira useless?

Are there no agencies in Nigeria that can retrieve that 22b from him without jeopardizing the sanity and welfare of nigerians?

Does the CBN and FG have to punish ordinary nigerians for the sins of politicians?

With your mentality that sees nothing wrong in the natinwide suffering, how are you now better than the politician you say stole 22b naira?

This is what you get when there is no clear ideological differences between the political parties in a democracy.

Anybody can move from one party to another at a whim.

In a saner clime, this issue will be moving whichever party with socialist ideologies on a clear path to victory in the forthcoming elections but seeing that there is no opposition, no sane ruling party will bring this kind of anyi-masees policy in an election year.

Now figures in the ruling party are playing opposition.... Goes to say much about the chain of command or non existence of one in the executive for the past 8 years.

Democracy in Nigeria is worth giving its own name... Calling whatever we are practicing here democracy is an insult to other democracies in the world.

We are practicing demo crazy, dem all crazy, crazy demo, aka demonstration of craze according to Fela Anikulakpo-kuti.

If all these are happening because of this forth coming election, then the whole argument would be baseless.Reason because elections had been held in the past without demonitzation and the electorate would vote their choice irrespective of the economic situations.

Some of you don't know what you're saying
You think vote buying will stop abi?
With the current hardship in the land, don't be surprised that people will even trade their votes for #200(whether old or new) and the highest bidder wins
FG and CBN are gracing BAT to victory already with style.

let me give you an example. If total amount of old notes in circulation was 1000 pieces, then the corrupt politicians hid like 700 pieces for their dubious activities, while only 300 pieces was in circulation. Now CBN printed only 400 pieces of new notes, and stopped the old notes from being legal tender. We already know some corrupt politicians already have new notes hidden, but it can never be up to what was hidden during the time of the old ones. Imagine out of 400 new notes in circulation, politicians have only like 300 to share amongst themselves and hide. While 100 is currently in circulation. Anyway you look at it , this one policy is affecting them also. They canโ€™t spend as they would have previously.

If they deceived you to stop Tinubu from winning, know that Atiku would then be your Presido. And RUGA and killing of you and your people shall resume full force. Know this and get sense!

These fools think that this policy will only affect Tinubu while their fathers in their villages can't even access their own money in the bank. They are supporting this asinine policy just because someone idiot told them it will affect Tinubu.
The fact of the matter is that, it's actually working in Tinubu's favor right now. They have given Tinubu an issue on which he now looks like he cares about the people and like he a genius who was able to foresee outcomes unlike dumb asses Pandora and Atiku.

How are you better than the politicians that you say are stored billions in their houses?

The man that you said packed billions to his house with bullion van, what year did he do this? If he committed any crime, why has the govt not arrested and prosecuted him up till now?
