People lack empathy. The prime problem as you said was that the CBN did not produce enough new notes.

Worse, the old notes that were withdrawn from circulation have been destroyed.

Worse, the CBN is still sticking to its outlandish Feb 10th deadline for use of old notes which has long since passed.

If the banks were supplied sufficient Naira, the so called back deals which some banks were involved in would impede the success of the roll out.

Best practices were thrown out through the window.

Since it is Zenith insurers to Zenith bank, guess it is "inhouse" then.
Anyway, from what I hear and few I have seen, insurance here in Nigeria has worked well over the past few years due to reforms in the industry.
The problem I think is Nigerians don't follow through with their claims, on the basic level, they feel it does not work. Eg the 5k vehicle 3rd party insurance covers 1m damage. Most Nigerians will rather fight on the street than follow the process and get compensated. Most likely the vehicle that even hit you might not have insurance.
But on the cooperate level, it works. Those banks will get compensated.

Cos cbn threw the banks under the bus, if they had been truthful this wont have happen, how much new money did he print? He wont say, how much did you use to print? He wont say, if the banks had sense they should have unilaterally called a meeting and resolved to keep churning out the old notes immediately so people can survive,the cbn gov purposely diverted the citizens anger towards the banks, is he going to fine all banks or close them all??
